Let's be honest. The All Blacks were never going to miss every opportunity. The pressure has been building because the Lions are not playing in the right areas. A huge half time coming up for Warren Gatland.

  5. Ugo's half-time analysispublished at 09:30 British Summer Time 8 July 2017

    Ugo Monye
    Former Lions and England winger

A quite brilliant first half - Test match rugby of the very highest order. There have been mistakes, mainly from the All Blacks, who at their sharpest could've had three tries this half.

But you cannot fault the endeavour and intent from both sets of men. Warrior-like performances. The Lions - especially Maro Itoje, Mako Vunipola and Taulupe Falateau - have stood very tall.

We were expecting a reaction from the All Blacks after that second-Test defeat and that's exactly what they've delivered. They look like they've spent the last seven days hurting because they are not used to losing.

Eden Park is their spiritual rugby home and it is proving to be a fortress so far. But, for all the opportunities the All Blacks have had, it is only 12-6 at half-time - a scoreline the Lions will take.

There are no major concerns at half-time although you wonder how long Johnny Sexton can continue with what looked a very big knock to his leg. If he goes off, that really changes the way they play. Ben Te'o a great replacement but the axis of Sexton and Owen Farrell is starting to look potent for the Lions.

Got a questions for Ugo? Head to the BBC Sport Facebook page after the match and you can quiz the former England and Lions flyer as he does a Facebook Live.

For all their class going forward, the flip-side of the Sexton/Farrell combination was laid bare in that All Blacks score as Luamape sliced through with relative ease.

Either way, a magnificent half of rugby, and considering the hosts' dominance, the Lions have down well to only be 12-6 down.

The 2009 series in South Africa was the most marrow-mashingly physical rugby I think I have seen. This is right up there.

Nick Bruzon: What a blistering half. All Blacks hands and technique second to none. Kicking, less so. Six points down and The Lions still alive.

Wayne Gallichan: At Napoli airport following. Flight called and family want to go to the gate and I want to stay in the lounge.

Adrian Kellers: Should be more, but it isn't. There's still a chance! But what a first half of Rugby!

Some of the collisions here are quake-inducing; you can feel them up here in the fifth tier commentary boxes. Bodies are flying into the contact area and you can almost hear the bones crack, and see the blood spill.

The physical confrontation is bordering on the brutal, and the Lions are more than holding their own.

At Marylebone Station, all vantage points are taken, even peering through a window. It's all about the Lions.

The Lions are going to spend the final couple of minutes in All Black territory.

A deft kick from Johnny Sexton takes play deep into the hosts' 22m.

But the All Black line-out is safe and secure. And they are given a penalty to further ease the pressure.

    Sloppy from the Lions.

Considering the All Blacks dominance in the first half an hour, it's a remarkable effort by the Lions to be well in the game as we approach half-time.

Are the tourists going to pull off the ultimate version of rugby rope-a-dope?

Or are the All Blacks playing with too much pace and tempo?

    Maybe the latter...

This All Black backline has a better understanding of time and space than Stephen Hawking.

Ngani Laumape shows he can do feather-duster as well as battering ram, punching a hole and then lofting a delicious offload up for Anton Lienert-Brown.

Quick hands and Jordie Barrett canters into the corner.
