    And here we go!

Exeter's Gareth Steenson launches a low ball to get us going for the last time in the Premiership this year!

A pretty poor kick that by the man with the golden boot - but Leicester's Luke Hamilton knocks on.

A penny for the thoughts of Tigers head coach Matt O'Connor.

Leicester have England wing Jonny May available after it was ruled in the week that his sending-off for two deliberate knock-ons in the Christmas Eve defeat by Saracens was sufficient punishment.

He makes a late move to full-back to replace Mathew Tait after he pulled up with a sore back on the bus trip to the ground. Nick Malouf is promoted from the bench and slots in on the wing, with Tait among the replacements.

Australia international hooker Tatafu Polata-Nau makes his first start for the Tigers.

This time last year Richard Cockerill was still director of rugby at Leicester Tigers.

He lasted just two more days as a 16-12 defeat by Saracens on New Year's Day ultimately cost him his job.

Leicester were fifth at the time and would go on to once again feature in the semi-finals.

Today they start the day ninth and are on a five-game losing run in all major competitions. However, they could go fifth with victory.

What a year it's been for Exeter Chiefs.

Premiership champions for the first time after beating Wasps at Twickenham in May, Rob Baxter's side are guaranteed to end 2017 top of the table too after losing just twice in the league this season.

A bonus point win today will see them start 2018 10 points clear of the chasing pack.

So here we are, the final 80 minutes of Premiership rugby of 2017. What fireworks (cringe pun, sorry) are in store for us?

While a New Year dawns tomorrow, there is a fair old slog still ahead in rugby-season terms.

The question right now is just how much distance will Exeter have on the rest at the top of the table for the start of 2018?

As for Leicester, well, just how much work ahead will they have to stay in touch with the top four?

Stay with us and find out!
