Quote MessageThis is a good, young exciting Scotland side. It's great for Gregor Townsend to find out more about his players. We may be watching the making of Scotland's starting team for the 2023 World Cup."

"Believe it or not, even though I was living in South Africa, my dream was always to play for Scotland.
"My roots are so strong. When I sing the anthem it brings tears to my eyes. I actually close my eyes so the cameras don't see me. I get emotional.
"I see myself as a very proud Scot, which might seem weird because I come from South Africa. I love saying that I'm Scottish even though I don't sound like it."

Bumped into Chris Cusiter on the way in here. Looks fit and well and could probably do a shift out there tonight if they asked him to.
Seventy caps was a hell of a career. He’s in business in LA these days. Enjoying life. A very good fella.

"I'm nervous, but I'm really excited for it. To have this added responsibility is really keeping me on my toes and has made me adapt my week. At times I'd be the kind of class clown, jumping around and trying to scare everybody, but this week I've taken a little step back from that and tried to be as sensible as I possibly can.
"I wouldn't be captain if Gregor didn't believe in me, so I'm looking forward to repaying the faith he's showed in me."
Those are the words of Stuart Hogg as he prepares to lead his country for the first time.

Cracking stadium, the BBVA. Home of Houston Dynamo in the MLS but tonight it’s the venue for the USA v Scotland.
The Americans have won five in a row, a run of form that Gregor Townsend has made much of this week. The teams they’ve beaten are not exactly stellar - Russia, Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and Canada - but they’ll have plenty of confidence all the same.
Townsend is expecting them to be incredibly physical against a callow Scotland team. Ten of the 15 starters for Scotland are in single-digits in caps.
This might get a bit hairy for the visitors at times but you have to fancy them to pull away in the last quarter as the bench appears.
USA v Scotland (KO 0205)
The Scotland team is almost unrecognisable for the side that beat Canada last weekend.
Head coach Gregor Townsend makes 12 changes, with seven of the starting line-up making their first international starts.
Scrum-half George Horne and number eight Matt Fagerson make their debuts and are joined by their respective older brothers Peter and Zander.
Jamie Bhatti, George Turner, Adam Hastings, Lewis Carmichael and Luke Hamilton will also make their first international starts.
Tour captain Stuart McInally remains injured and Grant Gilchrist, who the led the side in Edmonton, drops to the bench.
The three players retaining their starting places are lock Ben Toolis, Byron McGuigan and Blair Kinghorn, who moves to the wing to accommodate Stuart Hogg.
The Fagerson and Horne siblings, who all play for the Glasgow Warriors, become the 48th and 49th brothers to play for Scotland, while it is the eighth time that two sets of brothers have been on the field at the same time.

Welcome dear rugby fans. Whether your day is just starting or just ending, your dedication to the cause is admirable and it's great to have you with us.
Scotland kicked off their summer tour with a resounding 48-10 victory over Canada in Edmonton last weekend, but tonight they face a step in quality as they take on the USA in Houston.
Ahead of next weekend's final tour match against Argentina, this game should provide Gregor Townsend's men with a decent examination.
