  • FT: Glasgow 25-10 Munster - BBC Radio Scotland

  1. Uh-oh...published at 20 mins

    Ulster 0-13 Edinburgh

This doesn't look good for Mark Bennett. He's down and clearly in serious pain after being cleared off a ruck.

The Scotland centre has had two major knee operations and this could be more bad news. The stretcher is on, as is James Johnstone, who will replace Bennett in midfield.

  2. Ulster rally the troopspublished at 20 mins

    Ulster 0-13 Edinburgh

Ulster punt a penalty into touch inside Edinburgh's 22 and mobilise their pack for a line-out drive. They come thundering towards the try-line and at worst they'll have another penalty opportunity.

    Glasgow Warriors 3-0 Munster

    Colin Gregor
Former Scotland sevens captain on Radio Scotland

Munster haven't been in Glasgow territory much at all - 82% territory in Glasgow's favour.

  4. Penalty Glasgow Warriors 3-0 Munsterpublished at 16 mins

    Pete Horne

Another line-out drive sets up DTH van der Merwe to scamper through the Munster defence. He's brought down short though, and Glasgow build the phases, patiently moving the ball left and right. Munster eventually go off their feet at the breakdown. Peter Horne steps up and doesn't miss the penalty this time.

  6. try

Try Ulster 0-11 Edinburghpublished at 16 mins

    Tom Brown

Phenomenal stuff from Edinburgh, and it all stems from Big Bill Mata, whose dynamism and off-loading breaks the Ulster line.

Mark Bennett slaloms and drives his way deep into the Ulster 22. The ball is swept to the left flank, and the perfect looping pass from Henry Pyrgos finds Tom Brown to canter in at the corner.

  7. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 0-0 Munster

Glasgow are camped in the Munster 22 but can't quite unlock the visitors' defence. They are notoriously tough to crack. The home side have won a penalty, though, and Pete Horne is going for goal again.

  8. Can Munster create?published at 14 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 0-0 Munster

    Peter Wright
Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

Munster's defence is outstanding but they struggle at times with imagination in attack. It will be interesting to see if they can create things.

  9. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Ulster 0-6 Edinburgh

Ulster come piling forward again, but a forward pass from Will Addison ends another attack. Edinburgh will be pretty happy with how they've managed to repel the hosts' assaults so far.

  10. Hogg Glasgow's lynchpinpublished at 11 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 0-0 Munster

    Colin Gregor
Former Scotland sevens captain on Radio Scotland

Hogg started the season so brightly, the leadership he showed when Glasgow needed someone to take control of the game and inspire those around him at Connacht.

  11. Penalty Ulster 0-6 Edinburghpublished at 10 mins

    Simon Hickey

Two visits to the Ulster half, two penalties for Edinburgh, six points on the board. Simon Hickey stretches Edinburgh's lead in Belfast.

  12. Peter Wright praising a ref?! Surely not...published at 9 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 0-0 Munster

    Peter Wright
Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

Ben Whitehouse is one of the better referees in the division and is pretty proactive in getting the guys to listen to what he's saying in the scrum. Glasgow have an international-class front-row.

  13. Horne misses early chancepublished at 8 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 0-0 Munster

A bad miss from Pete Horne off the tee, who skews a penalty wide from the 22m line, pretty much straight in front of the posts.

You'd expect a player of his calibre to bang that one over.

  14. Hamilton's hands thwart Ulsterpublished at 7 mins

    Ulster 0-3 Edinburgh

Excellent play from Luke Hamilton, who isolates the Ulster ball-carrier, gets over ball and wins Edinburgh the penalty deep inside their own 22.

  15. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Ulster 0-3 Edinburgh

The visitors coming under a ton of pressure after edging in front. They're taking heavy fire from Ulster inside their own 22. Big, powerful carries from Stuart McCloskey and Darren Cave.

  16. Wayward Warriorspublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 7 September 2018

    Glasgow Warriors 0-0 Munster

Glasgow had an early opportunity with an attacking line out. They drove the ball forward and went through the phases, before a stray off-load went forward.

Coughing up possession was all too common for the Warriors last season. Dave Rennie will hope they keep the ball better for the rest of this game.

  17. Penalty Ulster 0-3 Edinburghpublished at 4 mins

    Simon Hickey

Excellent strike from the New Zealander. Edinburgh take the lead.

  18. Postpublished at 19:38 British Summer Time 7 September 2018

    Ulster 0-0 Edinburgh

Edinburgh win a penalty on the Ulster 10m line after a line-out infringement. Simon Hickey is going for goal...

  19. Postpublished at 19:37 British Summer Time 7 September 2018

    Ulster 0-0 Edinburgh

Scrappy start in Belfast. Poor box-kick from Henry Pyrgos, but Darren Cave fumbles the high ball and Edinburgh break clear from the scrum.

Better kick-chase from their next boot downfield as Craig Gilroy is swallowed up by a wave of tacklers and thrown into touch. First chance for Edinburgh to attack.

  20. We're underway!published at 19:35 British Summer Time 7 September 2018

Stuart Hogg gets things going at Scotstoun.

They're a minute or so behind in Belfast, but we're off and running
