    Dragons 12-5 Cardiff Blues

A half of two halves at Rodney Parade. The Dragons got off to a blistering start, scoring two tries before the Blues got back into the game. The visitors had the better of the latter stages of the half but it is the Dragons who lead at the break. All to play for still in the second half.

Cardiff Blues wing Owen Lane enjoys playing at Rodney Parade. Man-of-the-match performance here last season and been prominent so far this game. A realistic contender for Warren Gatland's Wales squad.

It's times like this the Dragons need to be solid, build up the phases and put the pressure back on the Blues.

    Owen Lane

The Blues go over again and again the TMO is called into action -but this time the visitors can celebrate.

Owen Lane shrugs off one tackle to battle his way into the corner, stretching a long right arm out to get the ball down a fraction over the line.

Gareth Anscombe misses the conversion, but the Blues deserved their try, it had been coming.

    Dragons 12-0 Cardiff Blues

No he did not. The whole Cardiff Blues team now face a long walk back to the Dragons five metre line for an attacking scrum, the TMO ruling the Dragons defender grounded the ball instead of Willis Halaholo.

  6. Try reviewpublished at 25 mins

    Dragons 12-0 Cardiff Blues

We go to the TMO. Willis Halaholo thinks he has scored a try, as do the Cardiff Blues side as Anscombe lines up the conversion before the try is given. Did he have control of the ball?

Crowd getting into this especially the Hazell Stand. Been on the case of assistant referee for not giving a forward pass and also angry with no action taken against Jason Harries for an aerial challenge on Dafydd Howells.

    Jarred Rosser

The Dragons are all over the Blues here. From a line-out the ball is moved quickly to Josh Lewis who skips a tackle and is free.

He generously offloads to Jarred Rosser who has the simplest of tasks.

Lewis makes no mistakes with his third conversion attempt of the evening.

    Josh Lewis

Josh Lewis may not have scored a penalty from his own half but he has still scored the first points of the match.

Dragons spread the ball wide to the left, stretching the Blues, and Lewis is there to cross in the corner. Lewis misses the conversion from a tight angle but he will get another attempt as the Blues ran at him too early...
