  2. Big moves by Scottish pairpublished at 21:42 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

Edinburgh move into second place in Conference B of the Pro14 behind Leinster thanks to their win and Ulster suffering a surprise 22-15 defeat at home to Connacht.

However, third-placed Scarlets could overtake them again when they host Welsh rivals Ospreys tomorrow.

Ospreys will be keen to secure a win of their own as they are now eight points adrift of leaders Glasgow in Conference A.

Zebre stay five points ahead of Cheetahs at the bottom of Conference A.

  3. Edinburgh 'on the up'published at 21:34 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    FT: Edinburgh 37-21 Cheetahs

    Peter Wright
Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

To score 17 unanswered points and to dominate the last 30 minutes is the measure of how this Edinburgh team has improved. Ben Toolis is the most improved player in the country

  4. 'Pleasing performance'published at 21:32 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    FT: Edinburgh 37-21 Cheetahs

    Quote Message

I think the boys will be pleased. I think it was a great performance. Ten minutes let us down, but they showed the character and professionalism to score more tries

Tom Brown, Edinburgh full-back on BBC Radio Scotland

  5. Bigger tests for Glasgowpublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    FT: Glasgow Warriors 36-8 Zebre

    Andy Burke
    BBC Sport Scotland at Scotstoun

The scoreboard shows a comprehensive victory for Glasgow, but that was a fairly flat performance for the first hour of this match.

The swagger re-appeared in the Warriors' play in the final quarter and they displayed that clinical edge to finish Zebre off when they had them rocking.

The performance will have to go up several levels if they are to compete with their next opponents - Saracens in the Champions Cup next weekend.

  7. Full-time - Glasgow Warriors 36-8 Zebrepublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

Like Edinburgh, Warriors were briefly under threat as Zebre closed in at 10-8.

But Dave Rennie's side capitalised on Zebre's lack of cutting edge to secure a bonus-point win.

  8. Full-time - Edinburgh 37-21 Cheetahspublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

Cheetahs, inspired by two tries from flying wing Sibhale Maxwane, gave Edinburgh a fright after the break.

But the Murrayfield outfit will be satisfied with a bonus-point win that makes it a fifth consecutive win on home soil - and third in this season's Pro14.

  9. try

Try - Peter Hornepublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Glasgow Warriors 36-8 Zebre

What the younger brother can do, so can the older sibling. Glasgow work the ball along the line with Niko Matawalu feeding Lee Jones, who then pops the ball off to Peter Horne and the Scotland international goes over with ease.

Adam Hastings has been solid tonight, but he can't find his mark this time. At this stage, I'd not worry too much about it..

  10. converted try

Converted try - Jamie Ritchiepublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Edinburgh 37-21 Cheetahs

Edinburgh immediately take advantage of the extra man and Jamie Ritchie goes over after a powerful rolling maul to secure a bonus point.

    Hickey adds the conversion.

  11. Sin-bin - Charles Maraispublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Edinburgh 30-21 Cheetahs

Charles Marais will spend the rest of the game on the sidelines as he is yellow carded for a high tackle on Stuart McInally.

    Quote Message

I think Edinburgh will disappointed if they don't get that fourth bonus-point try, because I think they deserve it

  14. Edinburgh getting job donepublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Edinburgh 30-21 Cheetahs

    Peter Wright
Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

Apart from that 10-minute spell after the break, Edinburgh have managed the game really well

  15. try

Converted bonus point try - George Hornpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Glasgow Warriors 31-8 Zebre

Not for the first time tonight, it's great work from Huw Jones. He travels with the ball as he charges into the Zebre half. A great hand off to Horn and Warriors are in again.

Adam Hastings has the easy task of kicking from just in front of the posts.

  16. converted try

Converted try - Greg Petersonpublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Glasgow Warriors 24-8 Zebre

Greg Peterson cuts right through the middle of the field. He burst through the Zebre defence from nowhere to go over.

    Conversion from Adam Hastings.

  17. Tempers flarepublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Glasgow Warriors 17-8 Zebre

Bit of argy-bargy at Scotstoun as George Turner is singled out for attention by Zebre.

A stramash follows with various players diving in before order is eventually restored.

  18. converted try

Converted try - Viliame Matapublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Edinburgh 30-21 Cheetahs

Number eight Viliame Mata picks up from behind the scrum and reaches out a big Fijian arm to touch just over the line before the ball is whipped from his grasp.

Simon Hickey completes the conversion to give Edinburgh a bit of a welcome cushion.

  19. Cheetahs living dangerouslypublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Edinburgh 23-21 Cheetahs

Edinburgh's driving maul is held up on the try line.

Good defence from the Cheetahs, but they are mighty close to conceding a yellow card.

  20. Postpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 5 October 2018

    Edinburgh 23-21 Cheetahs

Edinburgh needed to up the tempo and they are piling the pressure.

Cheetahs are warned for collapsing the maul five metres from the line.
