It has been quite a cagey half with a physical edge we were wondering whether we would see. Wales will be content with their work at the contact area and Scotland's discipline has cost them. But Wales will be concerned with the ease in which they conceded McInally's try from a driving line-out. All to play for.

So Scotland have had a majority of the possession, Wales have proved the smarter on the floor, and more clinical with their chances, but Stuart McInally's try, plus a conversion and a penalty from Adam Hastings (below) keeps the visitors within four points at the interval.

The opening period concludes with Wales hooker Ken Owens requiring treatment for a clash of heads with Scotland number eight Ryan Wilson as he tried to catch a pass in midfield. Ouch.

We know that the Welsh defensive coach Shaun Edwards has them really well-drilled, they're winning the battle in the gain line. In the build-up to the George North try that was just disallowed, there was a dynamic carrying cameo from Cardiff Blues prop Dillon Lewis.
Warren Gatland mentioned in the week that Lewis had a point to prove because he was not rated that highly by his former Blues coach Danny Wilson, who is now the Scotland forwards coach. So an early reminder from the Wales tight-head maybe.
