    Munster 7-12 Glasgow Warriors

    Has Ruaridh Jackson scored?

This is like watching a game of sevens. Alex Wootton scampers up the left and Munster thunder within 15m of the Glasgow line. Somehow, Matt Fagerson pulls off an incredible turnover, and off go the Warriors.

Jackson with a beautiful inside ball to Grigg, who races some 60m downfield. Glasgow go through the phases, Jackson dummies and twists his way to the whitewash, but we're not sure if he's grounded the ball.

  2. Grigg on the rampagepublished at 45 mins

    Munster 7-12 Glasgow Warriors

Nick Grigg's explosiveness is something to behold. His ability to change the pace of an attack, accelerate into a gap, is so impressive.

He lacerates the Munster rush-defence again, but his off-load is deflected by a home hand, and the province clear.

  3. Glasgow start stronglypublished at 42 mins

    Munster 7-12 Glasgow Warriors

Glasgow win back the restart and have an early penalty as a Munster tackler fails to roll away.

Pete Horne is instructed to send it into the corner but he misses touch. Mike Haley thumps it away back towards halfway and Warriors must come again.

    Munster 7-12 Glasgow Warriors

We're back under way at Thomond Park.

Munster are playing with the strong wind at their backs in the second half. They'll be smarting after dominating the first period for so long yet trailing at the break.

My concern is the strong wind Munster will have at their backs now and the set-piece. The line-out steals were too easy.

Glasgow will need to treasure possession in the second half.

  7. Glasgow's try machinepublished at 18:07 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    HT: Munster 7-12 Glasgow Warriors

George Horne is a terrific finisher. His support lines are what in modern rugby they call "optimistic" - tracking ahead of play so that when a team-mate punctures the defence, he's ready to pounce.

I make that 14 tries in 28 Warriors outings. Not a bad strike rate...

Dave Rennie will be delighted with how his men have weathered the storm. They were able to ride out that choppy opening quarter and have hit back with two sensational scores.

A long way to go but what a promising position Glasgow have got themselves into here.

  9. Half-time Munster 7-12 Glasgow Warriorspublished at 18:04 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

A frenetic half of rugby ends with Glasgow five points to the good.

They were under massive pressure in the opening quarter and fell behind to James Cronin's try.

But two magnificent long-range efforts from George Horne have put them in front.

  10. Warriors almost in again...published at 39 mins

    Munster 7-12 Glasgow Warriors

It's very nearly a third Glasgow try, this one from turnover ball.

Stafford McDowall smashes through Sammy Arnold, but the final pass to Pete Horne goes forward.

Arnold goes off for a head injury assessment and Alex Wootton comes on.

  11. Kebble woundedpublished at 38 mins

    Munster 7-12 Glasgow Warriors

Another first-half injury to a Glasgow Warrior. Loose-head prop Oli Kebble very gingerly makes his way to the touchline. Jamie Bhatti comes on.

    George Horne

Joyful attacking rugby indeed. A second outstanding try from Glasgow.

Nick Grigg cuts a glorious, hard line off the arcing Ruaridh Jackson, splinters through the Munster midfield and sends George Horne scampering home again.

    Grigg's angle was sensational.

Pete Horne adds the conversion from straight in front.

  13. Strike from anywherepublished at 35 mins

    Munster 7-5 Glasgow Warriors

    Andy Burke
    BBC Sport Scotland

Not so long ago Scottish sides were renowned for huffing and puffing before invariably butchering try-scoring opportunities.

In the last couple of weeks alone - when you think about some of Edinburgh's tries against Montpellier and Toulon and Glasgow's blockbusters from deep against Cardiff - we have seen some truly first-class scores.

A joyful age for attacking rugby in Scotland.

  14. Glasgow line-out falterspublished at 33 mins

    Munster 7-5 Glasgow Warriors

The officials have spotted a high tackle from John Ryan on Ruaridh Jackson so Glasgow can stick a penalty into the corner.

Munster read the line-out play to perfection, though, Billy Holland snatching the ball from in front of Rob Harley.

  15. Missed penaltypublished at 31 mins

    Munster 7-5 Glasgow Warriors

    It's wide again from Horne.

  16. Glasgow growingpublished at 29 mins

    Munster 7-5 Glasgow Warriors

This is better from the Warriors, they are keeping the ball and mount one of their first multi-phase attacks of the game.

With a rake of Munster defenders now sucked into the line, Pete Horne stabs a kick in behind. Glasgow's chasers are right on it, and win a penalty. Horne goes for goal...

  17. Horne strides through the quicksandpublished at 27 mins

    Munster 7-5 Glasgow Warriors

    Colin Gregor
Former Scotland sevens captain on Radio Scotland

It's an absolutely sensational score from Glasgow. It looked like the quicksand was going to swallow George Horne up at the end, but he just got there.

  18. More fitness woes for Johnsonpublished at 26 mins

    Munster 7-5 Glasgow Warriors

Just before all that excitement, Sam Johnson, who has looked good on the ball so far tonight, limped off.

The Australian hasn't had his injury troubles to seek over the past year or so, with jaw, head and knee problems keeping him out. He only made his comeback from a knee issue last weekend and won his first Scotland call-up to the autumn squad.

Stafford McDowall, the giant Scotland age-grade international, replaces him. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

  19. try

Try Munster 7-5 Glasgow Warriorspublished at 25 mins

    George Horne

Oh my word. What a try. That's what Glasgow are all about. Really clever stuff.

They run the ball out of their own 22, a brilliant Matt Fagerson pass sending Rory Hughes racing up the left flank.

He gives it inside to Pete Horne, who passes to little brother George Horne. The scrum-half scampers away and just manages to get the ball down, despite some dubiety over the grounding.

Horne senior is well wide with the conversion.

  20. Glasgow can't get outpublished at 22 mins

    Munster 7-0 Glasgow Warriors

To further underline my esteemed colleague's point, the stats show Munster have enjoyed 76% territory in these first 22 minutes.

Glasgow are under a hell of a lot of pressure.
