It is a lovely evening, it's crisp and cold, bit of a breeze as well, but no excuses for either team - the pitch is immaculate.

A late change for Glasgow Warriors too as Niko Matawalu replaces DTH van der Merwe on the wing and Scotland Under-20 back Stafford McDowall moves on to the bench.

Backs Ruaridh Jackson, Nick Grigg, Rory Hughes and brothers Peter and George Horne start, as do forwards Grant Stewart, Scott Cummings and Adam Ashe.

Tommy Seymour, Lee Jones, Huw Jones, Adam Hastings, Ali Price, Fraser Brown and Jonny Gray make way from the impressive Champions Cup win at Cardiff Blues last weekend.

And, in the absence of fellow co-captain Ryan Wilson, Callum Gibbins has the armband for Dave Rennie's side while Chris Fusaro could make his 150th Warriors appearance off the bench.

Ireland back Keith Earls has recovered from a hamstring injury to start for the hosts in a much-changed starting XV.

On the opposite wing, Andrew Conway is a late withdrawal through illness, with Darren Sweetnam starting and Alex Wootton joining the substitutes.

Sammy Arnold comes in at centre, with Alby Mathewson and JJ Hanrahan forming a new half-back partnership.

Hooker Niall Scannell also returns along with Billy Holland and Chris Cloete, who forms a formidable back-row with captain Peter O'Mahony and CJ Stander.

  9. Welcome aboardpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Munster v Glasgow Warriors (17:15)

Two of the Pro14's heavyweights lock horns at Thomond Park this evening, both buoyed by fine wins in Europe last weekend.

Given the looming autumn fixtures for Ireland and Scotland, there have been plenty changes to each line-up, but no shortage of star names.

These games are usually pretty feisty. Glasgow gave Munster a bit of a pasting at Scotstoun back in September, but they haven't won at this ground since May 2015.
