Jamie Ritchie has been an absolute stand-out. He's played exactly like Hamish Watson. All of a sudden, Scotland have two class acts at number seven

Tommy Seymour’s tries today are his first in a Scotland jersey since he crossed against Italy in the Six Nations back in March 2017.

His form then earned him selection for the Lions tour that summer but you could argue he’s not really found his best stuff since, though injury has certainly played its part.

A year out from the World Cup, the winger is sniffing out the try-line again and that is a huge boost for Gregor Townsend.

Lethal stuff from Scotland again. Great distribution from McInally, Russell and Harris, who draws in the defenders and released Tommy Seymour for a hat-trick try. What an afternoon the winger is having.

  6. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Scotland 35-17 Fiji

Scotland win another penalty and attack yet again, but Chris Harris is poleaxed by a thunderous tackle and the ball is lost forward.

More substitutes for the hosts. Greig Laidlaw and Ryan Wilson go off. George Horne and Jonny Gray come on. That should mean Sam Skinner shifts from lock to blind-side flanker.

  7. Reinforcements arrivepublished at 60 mins

    Scotland 35-17 Fiji

A raft of front-row substitutes in the last few minutes. Allan Dell and WP Nel are off for Scotland, replaced by Alex Allan and Simon Berghan.

Fijian loose-head Eroni Mawi has come on for Campsese Ma'afu. Samuel Matavesi, the hooker, has also retreated, to be replaced by Mesulame Dolokoto.

    Tommy Seymour

Try number two for Tommy Seymour and it's very well-worked.

He comes flying in on the switch, taking the ball from Greig Laidlaw at a heck of a clip, and ploughs over.

Scotland in the driving seat now.

  10. Maitland menaces againpublished at 56 mins

    Scotland 28-17 Fiji

A clever set-piece move from the Scots sends Maitland searing through a gap from a line-out maul. Pete Horne takes it on, then Russell chips to the corner again. Semi Radradra carries over his own line and it's a Scottish five-metre scrum.

  13. Send for Rambopublished at 53 mins

    Scotland 28-17 Fiji

Stuart McInally - or "Rambo" as he is known by his pals - replaces Fraser Brown at hooker for Scotland. A lot of depth in that department with record cap-holder Ross Ford and effervescent George Turner also in the squad.

Fiji knock-on and McInally's first task will be to strike from the resultant scrummage.

  14. Watch: Russell pass sends Seymour inpublished at 53 mins

    Scotland 28-17 Fiji

  15. Fiji rally wellpublished at 51 mins

    Scotland 28-17 Fiji

Scotland try to use their power game again, but Fiji slow it down well and win the penalty for holding on. It was a little predictable and Fiji were wise to it.

That snipe was Dunbar's last act. He's replaced by Newcastle Falcons back Chris Harris.

Albert Tuisue comes on for Manasa Saulo in the Fijian front-row.

  17. Skinner makes his markpublished at 49 mins

    Scotland 28-17 Fiji

Alex Dunbar's clever step and off-load sends debutant Sam Skinner blasting up the left. The move is stunted by a loose Scottish pass but they wind up winning a scrum, then a penalty, which Stuart Hogg boots into the corner.

  18. Just wide...published at 46 mins

    Scotland 28-17 Fiji

Volavola's kick drops just wide of the target. The good news for Fiji is they are now restored to their full compliment as Leone Nakarawa returns from the sin bin.

  19. Rampaging Radradrapublished at 46 mins

    Scotland 28-17 Fiji

Semi Radradra is one of the best attacking centres in the world and he shows all his brawn, speed and guile with a punishing carry that leaves a host of Scots flailing.

He's eventually cut down just inside the Scottish half but the hosts are offside. Ben Volavola goes for goal, but it's a long old way out...
