Great break from Edinburgh wing Duhan van der Merwe down the left, who chips ahead and it's gathered by James Johnstone, who is only stopped short by a brilliant cover tackle from Stuart Hogg.

More frustration for Warriors as they are penalised for wheeling a scrum. They seem to have got on the wrong side of referee Mike Adamson there.

Warriors making progress down the right flank, Stuart Hogg trying to bring Tommy Seymour into play, but the visitors cough up possession again.

Glasgow immediately lose the ball in contact and Edinburgh hooker Stuart McInally has a chance to stretch his legs with a bit of a gallop.

But Jaco van der Walt's chip is charged down and it's all a bit harum-scarum at the start of this second half.

I think Glasgow getting that try just before half-time has set things up. I've been looking at the collisions. They're brutal in the professional game. But in this match there's a wee edge. You can see guys firing in trying to upset the opposition and trying to slow things down. It's what you would expect. Local derbies are all about intensity

In a sense Richard Cockerill will be happy as Edinburgh have had the lion's share of the game, but he'll be angry they haven't done more with the possession that they've had.

At 13-7 the game has been busted wide open. Glasgow are inching their way back into it; they're finding a way to compete.

So an interesting first half at Murrayfield. Edinburgh by far the better side for the first half-hour, with Glasgow floundering somewhat against a ferocious home defence.

But that little gem of a try just before the interval gives Glasgow plenty of hope going into the sheds.

Bit of a breather while Grant Stewart - starting at hooker for Glasgow with both Fraser Brown and George Turner sidelined - receives some treatment.

The action resume with Stewart finding Rob Harley at a line-out. That'll give the young man's confidence a lift after his last effort.

Edinburgh win a line-out via Ben Toolis and scrum-half Henry Pyrgos, who has been an influential figure so far. launches a box-kick.

Glasgow try to run it back, Stuart Hogg pressures Pyrgos into conceding a line-out, and now Adam Hastings is probing Edinburgh's left flank with a cross-field kick, and Pyrgos takes it into touch again

But basic errors are hampering Warriors. The inexperienced Grant Stewart misses his target at the line-out, and Hamish Watson collects and breaks away.

Glasgow have a line-out 5m out. Adam Ashe takes it at the tail and Warriors try to set up a drive, but again Edinburgh force an error at the breakdown.
