England have started the second half like the first, they look well connected and well drilled in attack.

  2. Penalty - England 24-7 Walespublished at 43 mins

    George Ford (43 mins)

There was a Wales offside somewhere in all of that and it gives England an early chance to add to their lead.

George Ford opts to go for the sticks, and nails it.

Davies never scores that try if Mike Brown is at full back! Elliott Daly cannot tackle! Full stop! Shouldn't play full back!

No messing from Joe Cokanasiga. Ball tucked under his arm, head down, cranking through the gears before he's hit around the ankles.

Billy Vunipola drives England forward as the hosts are stopped on the Wales line.

When Davies scored, with Daly, if that was in the World Cup, a quarter or semi-final and that was a must-make tackle, you cannot afford to miss one like that.

    Gareth DaviesImage source, Getty Images

Scrum-half Gareth Davies is the match's top metre-maker with most of his 51m profit coming from that jagging run for Wales' only score.

A superb try that left the England defence icing ankles.

Aaron Wainwright is getting through the defensive donkey work, racking up a game-high 13 tackles.

New Zealand might be enjoying this. Their grip on the world number one spot tightens once again - Wales need to avoid defeat to snatch it off the All Blacks come tomorrow morning.

  9. 'England's World Cup hopefuls have really fronted up'published at 14:58 British Summer Time 11 August 2019

    HT: England 21-7 Wales

    Garin Jenkins
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

England really started with a bang and applied pressure at a Welsh line-out to put England ahead at the break. Wales have to start the second half like England started the first - those players that have come in for England have really fronted up.

    England 21-7 Wales

    Matt Dawson
Former England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Wales are not firing on all cylinders, England have played well in parts and been clinical. Ludlam has been very good, Launchbury has been good, and even Lawes when he came on went straight into match mode.

  11. Joseph's returnpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 11 August 2019

    HT: England 21-7 Wales

    Jonathan JosephImage source, Getty Images

Jonathan Joseph, making his first Test appearance since March 2018, has shown up well for England with ball in hand.

The outside centre has made 36 metres - only Elliot Daly and Joe Cokanasiga have made more for England - and beaten two defenders from just two runs.

Could do better in defence though. He has missed three tackles.

The mistake Wales made was when Alun Wyn Jones came back to the 15 metre line, no England player needed to compete.

Another good kick from Ford. Ford has trimmed his run up a bit, and he looks very comfortable off the tee.

    HT: England 21-7 Wales

    Garin Jenkins
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

It was the right call at Wales' line-out, but the wrong execution. It was a Welsh mistake that led to that last try for England.

    Nightmare for Wales...

The visitors get a line-out five metres from their own line and it's too high for Alun Wyn Jones.

The ball just tickles the fingers of the Wales captain and England hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie is there to collect behind the line-out and canter over from close range.

    George Ford adds the extras.

  17. Wales concernpublished at 38 mins

    England 14-7 Wales

    Gareth Griffiths
    BBC Sport Wales at Twickenham

Not what Wales wanted to see. Gareth Anscombe being helped off with a knee injury.

Wales wanted to think about taking two 10s to the World Cup with Dan Biggar and Anscombe both possibly selected on the plane to Japan.

Wales will hope that injury is not serious. Biggar is on as a replacement.

Courtney Lawes bouncing Alun Wyn Jones backwards. You don't often see the Wales skipper heading in that direction...

Piers Francis looks to wriggle towards the Welsh line and England keep it alive through the forwards. Going through the phases, Eddie Jones' side.

It's worked wide right as Elliot Daly joins the line but the full-back is carried into touch.
