  3. 'We want to make history'published at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Toulon v Edinburgh (17:30)

Beating Toulon in the Champions Cup at the Stade Mayol "would probably be our biggest achievement to date", according to Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill.

"I'm not worried about going there, I am excited," Cockerill said.

"These are the games you want to be involved in, when you are talking about competing against the very best. We are starting to get a team that can do that.

"We would like to make history and be the first Scottish team to win at the Mayol, but we want to qualify out of the pool."

  4. Last eight in Edinburgh's sightspublished at 17:13 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2019

    Toulon v Edinburgh (17:30)

When Edinburgh were drawn in Pool 5 of the Heineken Champions Cup, head coach Richard Cockerill spoke of having a crack at the "galacticos" of European rugby. Entering round five of the pool stage, however, it was the Scottish side leading the way.

They are on a terrific run of form, winning their last five matches in all competitions. They face a Toulon side with a great history in this competition, a fantastic home record but with no hope of progression from the pool. Just how seriously will they take this match? And can Edinburgh take advantage of any drop in intensity to register a famous, and crucial, win?
