  1. Rugby 'not strong enough' on shoulder chargepublished at 16:50 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    Glasgow 28-10 Cardiff

    Quote Message

If rugby is serious about stamping out these kind of issues, it doesn't matter if a try has been scored, it needs to be dealt with. They're trying to stamp it out but they're not being strong enough.

  2. try

Try! Glasgow 28-10 Cardiffpublished at 62 mins

    Oli Kebble

    Huge try for Glasgow.

Oli Kebble rides a huge (possibly illegal) hit from Rhys Carre to stretch for the line and score.

Kebble departs the field immediately looking rather dazed. It did look like a shoulder charge from Carre.

Glasgow have their bonus point try and now it is all about seeing out the win.

  3. 'Cardiff playing with width'published at 16:47 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    Quote Message

You've got to take your hat off to Cardiff, they're playing with lots of width. They're getting a lot of 3 v 2 chances in the wide channels. It's a great try.

  4. try

Try! Glasgow 21-10 Cardiffpublished at 59 mins

    Harri Millard

The Blues are coming back into this and are playing some nice stuff.

Substitute Rhys Carre blasts through for the initial break to put Glasgow on the back foot.

The ball goes wide and Owen Lane shows velvet hands to put Harri Millard in for the score.

  5. Saracens on brink of sealing quarter-final spotpublished at 16:44 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    Lyon 3-21 Saracens

In the other match in Pool Three, which kicked off at the same time, Saracens are well on the way to clinching a last-eight spot with a game to spare.

Nick Tompkins has scored his second, and Sarries' third try.

By my calculations, a fourth try and a bonus point would be enough for the English champions, who host Glasgow in their final pool match.

  6. Hogg to the rescuepublished at 56 mins

    Glasgow 21-5 Cardiff

Cardiff look for all the world like they have engineered a scoring position but just as Harri Millard looks to put Owen Lane in for the score, Stuart Hogg telegraphs the pass and makes a crucial interception.

  7. Blues misfirepublished at 54 mins

    Glasgow 21-5 Cardiff

Cardiff earn a scrum penalty and kick right into the corner for an attacking line-out.

Matthew Rees' throw misses the target and Grant Stewart collects to take Glasgow out of the danger area.

  8. Go-forward key for Warriorspublished at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    Glasgow 21-5 Cardiff

    Fraser Brown

    Quote Message

The message at half-time would have been 'as soon as you get that ball down and set, get it going forward' because Cardiff have been trying to take the maul out to the touchline and it creates a hole in behind if you get it going quickly.

  9. try

Try! Glasgow 21-5 Cardiffpublished at 49 mins

    Chris Fusaro

When the rolling line-out maul works Cardiff are unable to cope and Glasgow take that route to the try-line yet again.

It's Chris Fusaro who is able to get the ball down at the base for Warriors' third try.

Brandon Thomson has been kicking beautifully in these windy conditions and punches a low effort through the wind that just clears the bar.

  10. Line-out malfunctionspublished at 46 mins

    Glasgow 14-5 Cardiff

The line-out throw slips through the fingers of Scott Cummings and Cardiff escape unscathed.

  11. 'Get the ball through the hands'published at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    Glasgow 14-5 Cardiff

    Peter Wright

    Quote Message

When you've got the penalty advantage, get the ball through the hands. You've got Stuart Hogg, Tommy Seymour, Nick Grigg - these guys open up defences.

  12. Glasgow knocking at the doorpublished at 44 mins

    Glasgow 14-5 Cardiff

Warriors are looking to put this to bed early in the second half and are hammering at the Cardiff line.

They have penalty advantage and look to have worked an overlap but Ali Price takes contact rather than putting it through the hands.

Back for the penalty and Glasgow kick to the corner.

  13. Kick-offpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    Glasgow 14-5 Cardiff

Stuart Hogg gets the second half started at Scotstoun.

  14. Wind factorpublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    HT: Glasgow 14-5 Cardiff

How big a factor will that swirling wind be in the second half?

It was extremely strong at Glasgow's backs in the opening 40, but they arguably failed to make it really count. Stuart Hogg in particular was guilty of kicking the ball dead twice.

Can Cardiff use the conditions to pin Glasgow back in their own territory and work a way back into this match?

  15. 'Glasgow short of confidence'published at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    HT: Glasgow 14-5 Cardiff

    Tom English

    Quote Message

Glasgow look like a side that have lost three games in a row and are struggling with their own confidence. They've been impatient at times, lacking intensity and making poor decisions.

  16. Half-time - Glasgow 14-5 Cardiffpublished at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

It's not been a classic half of rugby at Scotstoun but Glasgow are halfway to where they need to be, a win and a four-try bonus.

Grant Stewart finished off a rolling line-out maul to open the scoring and Scott Cummings crashed over from close range shortly after.

Owen Lane's try just before the break showed Cardiff have not thrown in the towel and Glasgow have work to do to finish the job.

  17. 'They're in line'published at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    Quote Message

For me they're in line. The TMO says there is no clear evidence of offside.

  18. try

Try! Glasgow 14-5 Cardiffpublished at 37 mins

    Owen Lane

Cardiff aren't giving up the ghost here.

Willis Halaholo smashes through two or three tackles to generate some go-forward for his side.

The ball is spun wide to Owen Lane who looks to chip ahead. Stuart Hogg makes a partial block and the ball lands in the arms of Dan Fish who feeds the ball back to Lane to go in for the try.

The referee checks with the TMO about a possible offside in the build-up but is happy with what he sees and awards the try.

  19. Tunaround in Lyonpublished at 16:01 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2019

    Lyon 3-14 Saracens

Saracens have hit back with two tries in Lyon, Nick Tompkins and Jackson Wray both going over. Owen Farrell has converted both and the Pool Three leaders are now in command, and set far for the quarter-finals.

  20. Fish all at seapublished at 35 mins

    Glasgow 14-0 Cardiff

Cardiff full-back Dan Fish gets himself in an awful tizzy and drops the ball behind him.

Nick Grigg hacks through and looks like he is in for try number three but the combination of the wind and firm surface takes the ball away from him and he can't get there before it goes dead.
