    It's tasty out there.

There's some massive hits going in and some big collisions from Gloucester - that's what's seen them force early penalties in Saracens territory.

    Saracens 5-7 Gloucester

Gloucester are on the hunt again. And it is all of Saracens own making.

A penalty is given away by Owen Farrell and the ball is punted long upfield and are the Cherry and Whites are back inside the attacking 22.

With a line-out 10m out, they push and press. Pressure is very much on the hosts.

    Saracens 5-7 Gloucester

European champions Saracens looking far from slick early on.

Sure there have been moments, but a poor line-out from from Jamie George is soon followed up by a shaky catch from Maro Itoje.

We're not going to have a repeat of last year's semi-final at Allianz Park are we?

Twelve months ago Sarries beat Wasps 57-33 in a record-breaking game - Owen Farrell kicking 27 points, the 11 tries scored and 90 combined points were all records.

We're on course for it so far after 10 minutes.....

Right, this has been an insane start.

And we could have an early casualty. Saracens hooker Jamie George is looking in some discomfort after a collision.

Looks to be a shoulder problem, but he continues.

So clinical from Owen Farrell - he just looked up and had all the time to pick out the perfect weighted kick towards Sean Maitland.

    What a response from Saracens - that's why they're a champion side.

    That is how Champions respond!

It is immediate, it is clinical, it is devastating!

The restart collected Saracens and Sean Maitland is on the end of a neatly placed grubber kick to cross over in the left corner.

The conversion from Owen Farrell, however, is off target.

The scrum is set on right and the ball is worked left in a hurry.

Quickly it is doubled back and the Cheery and Whites probe Saracens' resistance.

With the game's first opening, the visitors are over with Ben Morgan charging over in the right corner.

    WHAT. A. START.

Gloucester have come here six times and lost six times

But with a huge travelling support making the noise they are here and giving them the backing, it'll be a huge boost for the Cherry and Whites.

Deep in thought or looking to a higher power?

Either way, all that Gloucester head coach Johan Ackermann can really do now is put faith in the side that have just taken the field!

We are just moments away from kick-off.

There's still time to get an insight into these two semi-finals by listening to the BBC Radio 5 Live Sport special from this week's Premiership awards.

Sonja McLaughlan, James Haskell and Chris Jones speak to player of the year Danny Cipriani, Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall and full-back Alex Goode amongst others.

"This is huge for Danny Cipriani's World Cup hopes.

"Eddie Jones will probably only take George Ford and Owen Farrell in the England squad to Japan, but if there's any fitness doubts, he has to be next in line.

"This is all set up for him to perform on the big stage, but he also needs his forwards to perform for him."

If after 40 minutes of play each way the scores are level, there shall be a five-minute break (where the teams and players shall remain on the pitch) and then a period of extra time shall begin between the teams of 10 minutes each way, with a one-minute interval. If the scores remain equal after this period of extra time, then the winner will be the team which has scored the most tries in the game (including extra time). If the scores are level and the number of tries scored is equal, then there shall be a place kick competition. Each team nominates three kickers who will attempt to slot the ball through posts from six designated positions on the 10 and 22-metre lines.

If the scores are tied after the six kicks for each team, it will go to “sudden death” from the middle of the 10-metre line.

The three kickers must have been playing at the final whistle of extra time.

With two semi-finals to come today, we are in for a long day of Premiership rugby action.

Answer: If the games are close, it will be grueling stuff.

  19. How Goode can it get for Saracens this season?published at 13:16 British Summer Time 25 May 2019

Also collecting awards this season has been Saracens full-back Alex Goode, recently crowned European Player of the Year for his performance in the European Champions Cup final.

The 31-year-old also made some headlines on social media after that victory against Leinster.

He was pictured celebrating in St Albans with the rest of the squad, but still in his full kit three days later, external and with a bum bag for good measure!

It's very much back to business now though for Goode and the challenge of Gloucester.

“We’ve prepared very well this week for a top Gloucester side," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“We’ve played them twice this season and they beat us convincingly at Kingsholm and are a class outfit.

“They’re very dominant in the set piece and Ben Morgan’s been carrying particularly well.

“We have to be ready for everything that they will throw at us.”

  20. Cipriani hopes to keep improvingpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 25 May 2019

Danny Cipriani has enjoyed a golden first season in Gloucester colours and his performances for the Cherry and Whites were recognised earlier this week by being named Premiership player of the year.

But, the 31-year-old is nonchalant about the accolade and the hype surrounding his skills.

“I feel like I’m in the form of my life right now," he told BBC Radio 5 Live. "Every season for the past five or six years has been, ‘this is Danny’s best season’.

“That’s all I want to do every single year before I retire. In this moment, if that’s what I’m producing, then I’m doing my job.

“Johan (Ackermann) and David (Humphreys) have been very backing since I joined, but it’s also an accumulation of the knowledge and expertise I’ve picked up from other coaches in recent years.

“When I came to Gloucester, I just felt I could add a bit more about what I’ve learned from challenging moments in my career and try and drive the team in the best way possible."
