    FT: Scotland 36-9 Georgia

That's that for Scotland's four warm-up Tests. After a horror show in Nice, it's three victories on the spin and a bit of momentum.

Next stop is Yokohama to play Ireland on the 22nd September. The excitement is building!

  2. Extent of injuries unclear- Townsendpublished at 22:03 British Summer Time 6 September 2019

    FT: Scotland 36-9 Georgia

Gregor Townsend wasn't sure about the extent of the injuries to Jonny Gray, Ben Toolis, Blair Kinghorn, Jamie Ritchie and Blade Thomson: "We had two players with head injuries and they didn't come back on, they'll go through the normal concussion protocols. A couple of guys had tight hamstrings. Jamie Ritchie's going to the hospital for a scan later tonight, so that's five players in a match so there will be quite a lot to look at over the next few days."

  3. Townsend pleased with final flurrypublished at 21:58 British Summer Time 6 September 2019

    FT: Scotland 36-9 Georgia

Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has been speaking on Sportsound: "This week we weren't as accurate and they had more opportunities to show what they could do. They showed a more varied game today. It was pleasing that we did put things right later on in the game and finishing with a couple of tires made it a nicer win than it probably was.

On the performances of Sam Johnson and Duncan Taylor, he said: "On first viewing I think they got involved in attack and worked hard in defence. The pleasing thing ins Duncan managed 80 minutes. I'm sure when I see his GPS stats tomorrow they'll be through the roof as they usually are."

Beat Ireland and anything is possible for this team, on our day we can do it. We need to be accurate in everything we do.

  6. Cummings' stock keeps risingpublished at 21:49 British Summer Time 6 September 2019

    FT: Scotland 36-9 Georgia

We've been hearing a lot about another Cummings in the news recently, but 22-year-old Scott Cummings is growing into a Test player by the week.

Having only made his debut two-and-a-half weeks ago he continues to go from strength to strength. Mobile around the pitch, quick and powerful, he reminds me of, dare I say it, Richie Gray.

With Ben Toolis and Jonny Gray now lingering injury doubts after tonight, could this man complete a fairy-tale rise by starting in the second-row against Ireland in 16 days time?

I think Tommy Seymour's under pressure. I think it'll be Sean Maitland and Darcy Graham on the wings, Graham was man of the match tonight. I think Seymour's battling for form, he did alright tonight though but he's not in great form.

Kevin: Well done at least our national pride is still intact with one sport.

Scotland's footballers have just lost 2-1 to Russia. Sigh.

  10. Townsend addresses Murrayfield crowdpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 6 September 2019

    FT: Scotland 36-9 Georgia

After 53,000 fans turned up for tonight's World Cup send-off, Gregor Townsend has given them the courtesy of a goodbye message before heading to Japan.

"Thank you for your support tonight. It means a lot to us. We are very proud this group of men- we've worked hard for two months," he said. "We will give it our best effort."

  11. Graham the man for Ireland?published at 21:29 British Summer Time 6 September 2019

    FT Scotland 36-9 Georgia

On form, this man has to start against Ireland. Five tries in seven Test appearances for Darcy Graham now, and he was immense tonight again.

The power he possesses for a man of his size is incredible, and he put in a couple of big hits on loose forwards tonight. Not to mention his searing pace and clinical finishing.

    Agree?

  12. 'We can't start like that in Japan' - Harrispublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 6 September 2019

    FT Scotland 36 - 9 Georgia

Scotland centre Chris Harris on Sportsound: "We knew they were going to front up, it wasn’t going to be an easy game. We stared really poorly. The positive is we didn’t concede a try. But we cannot start like that at the World Cup."

  13. The good and badpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 6 September 2019

    FT: Scotland 36-9 Georgia

Positives? Six tries, solid defence and impressive performance from youngsters Darcy Graham and Scott Cummings.

Negatives? Too many errors, a mess at the scrum, and a couple of lingering injury concerns for Ben Toolis and Jonny Gray.

  14. Full-time- Scotland 36-9 Georgiapublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 6 September 2019

That's that. It was a pretty error-strewn performance by Scotland but three late tries have put a fair old gloss on the scoreline. Six tries though, not bad for an off day.

  16. try

Try- Scotland 36-9 Georgiapublished at 76 mins

    Pete Horne

It's all falling apart for Georgia.

It's a bizarre decision by the so far impressive fly-half Teto Abzhanadze to go or a chip-kick on his own line. Pete Horne gathers it as he falls to ground, gets up unchallenged and strolls under the posts.

Adam Hastings adds the extras and suddenly it's a rout.

They've upped the tempo. Its good. What I don’t like is George Horne doing a somersault then putting the ball down. Call me old fashioned, but it's disrespectful.

  18. try

Try- Scotland 29-9 Georgiapublished at 71 mins

    George Horne

    The poacher strikes again.

Georgia are beginning to tire. Adam Hastings just trucks it up, and a ruck is formed. Horne picks it up and, in the absence of any fringe defence, waltzes over. Hastings converts from in front of the posts.

  19. try

Try- Scotland 22-9 Georgiapublished at 68 mins

    Darcy Graham

Boom, that's surely the game. It's a decent move by Scotland, but shocking defence.

Adam Hastings pulls the ball back to Duncan Taylor who, from a standing start, rips one out to Chris Harris. Georgia's winger steps in and allows Darcy Graham to receive a pass and scamper in at the corner.

    Hastings can't convert.
