Stick that one straight on the Kamikaze Kids' greatest hits compilation.

Reece Hodge runs back a kick, but charges straight into a Tom Curry-shaped roadblock. A shuddering shoulder from the Sale flanker and his mate Sam Underhill is first on the scene to clamp down over the top and secure the turnover.

England put in inside the Australia half.

Andrew Bevan: Some consolation for the Aussies, David Warner hasn't gotten out early yet!

Henry Gathercole: 2019 has been a bad year for me missing key sporting moments due to poor planning. So far I’ve been on the runway for the Cricket World Cup Final, the Wimbledon Final, and now the mauling of the Aussies in Japan.

  6. Slow-starting Wallabiespublished at 08:51 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

Australia have started slowly throughout this World Cup - the Wallabies trailed 21-12 at half-time in opening match against Fiji, before winning 39-21.

And they also fell 23-8 behind against Wales in the first half, eventually going down 29-25 despite a resurgent second 40 minutes in Tokyo.

    Another second-half comeback brewing?

The Aussie defence is so submissive, are they not going to go hard and press?

Total control in attack - we couldn't ask for anything more.

    Owen Farrell

Owen Farrell could kick that one in ballet pumps.

England keep the scoreboard operator busy. This is a comfortable cushion, but Eddie Jones' side have had thicker rugs whipped from under them this year.

Remember Scotland in the Calcutta Cup? Michael Cheika will...

    England 14-6 Australia

Kurtley Beale puts the Wallabies under pressure with a kick that is neither distance nor chaseable.

Jordan Petaia helps ease some of that pressure with a rush out of defence, but Australia are pinged as Christian Lealiifano fails to roll away in the wake of a Manu Tuilagi rumble.

This should be simple for Owen Farrell as he lines up a penalty,

    Christian Lealiifano

Australia made slow starts against Fiji and Wales during the pool stages. They are not wasting any time on making a comeback now.

Back to within eight points as they suck a three-point dint off the scoreboard.

Now Australia are knocking on the door!

Izack Rodda is up to within five metres. Jamie George is not dong enough to roll away after making the cover tackle.

A gimme of a penalty right in front and Christian Lealiifano calls for the tee...

    Another!

England conjure another score out of the blue! David Pocock throws a no-look pass to Christian Lealiifano. Only problem was that Lealiifano was not looking either.

Henry Slade picks up the loose ball and hares upfield, The cover is closing, but his galaxy-brain kick, weighted to perfection, is divine.

Jonny May flops down on it to score in the corner and Owen Farrell adds two more.

Australia got straight into a huddle after that score. Can't be totally sure from this distance but it looked like there were a few deep breaths being taken to calm the nerves.
