    Phew.

Nailbiters everywhere you look, with all of the games having tight scorelines but it is the last-minute Saints win at Allianz Park that will grab the headlines.

  2. "Happy but we left it late"published at 17:08 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

Chris Boyd, Northampton Director of Rugby: "I'm happy with the result and for large parts we were in control and dominated, but we left it late to secure the win.

"We had momentum but didn't utilise that. You have to defuse the Saracens aerial game but we lost control for periods of time.

On David Ribbans. "He was good for us last year, scored last week and backed it up with a very good performance. In my mind there's not much he cant do as a second row."

  3. "We can beat the best"published at 16:58 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

    Saracens 25 - 27 Northampton

Saints fly-half James Grayson, speaking to BT Sport said: "We haven't won here for a while and it's nice after a long pre-season and with some of the boys at the World Cup, to sneak a win at the end.

"There was a bit of frustration early on but we knew if we stuck to our processes we would be alright.

"Our coach instills attacking rugby into us and we're happy to go out and play. We will make mistakes but we will score tries too.

"We are taking it step by step and are capable of beating the best, so hopefully we will be up there at the end of the season when it's knockout rugby."

    Exeter 22-19 Harlequins

Quins caused Chiefs all sorts of problems, but last season's runners-up have just about got off to a winning start.

It wasn't the sort of performance we've been used to seeing from Exeter in recent years, but they've held on.

    They've done it!

That penalty given away by Titi Lamositele in the closing stages has handed Saints a famous win at Allianz Park.

Saints secured the restart and as the clock ticks red, Grayson gleefully kicks into the stands and it's all over.

What a start for Saints! They've downed the reigning champions.

    Saracens 25 - 24 Northampton

Big chance goes begging for Saracens to wrap it up.

Ben Earl with a big carry from the base of the scrum, finds Tompkins who passes to Segun who looks like he's in but he knocks-on as he tries to offload back infield.

Will Skelton then does likewise with the next Sarries attack and that's his last action of the game.

He's had another good game, despite that late error.

    Saracens 25 - 24 Northampton

A slight break in play for a bit of treatment gives the sides a chance to catch their breath.

They are recharging their batteries for a massive final ten minutes.

    On a knife edge.

  19. Penalty Saracens 25 - 24 Northamptonpublished at 67 mins

Silly, silly, silly from Alex Coles.

Chasing a Saracens up and under back, he changes path to block the onrushing Nick Isiekwe and its a penalty.

He really didn't need to do that as Furbank was in a position to take the catch safely.

Seconds later, there's ANOTHER Saracens penalty but this time Spencer hits the post!

One point in it with twelve to go.

  20. Postpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

    Sale 16-15 Gloucester

The lead changes hands at the AJ Bell again as Robert du Pleez adds three points for the home side.
