There's a bit of kick tennis between the teams and Duhan van der Merwe has to make a weavy run past three opponents to ease the pressure after a deep punt towards the try line.

Bordeaux are throwing the ball around at every occasion.

There's plenty of intent from the visitors.

Bill Mata pounces on a dropped ball and Edinburgh are able to apply some pressure.

But Bordeaux win it back and are able to clear for touch.

A high kick from puts the visitors under pressure and Edinburgh win a penalty that's kicked to touch.

But a squint line-out ball hands Bordeaux a scrum. Edinburgh infringe and the pressure is eased further.

Edinburgh get the game under way.

Edinburgh beat tonight's visitors home and away in the 2014-15 Challenge Cup, but the French side have improved under their new coach, Christophe Urios, are currently second in the Top 14 and look to be heading for a better finish than last season's 10th place.

Although they have lost their last two away games, they are seeking a third successive victory on the road in this competition.

Richard Cockerill's side are third in the Pro14's Conference B and have won their latest 13 home games in the pool stage of the Challenge Cup. Their last home defeat came in last season's quarter-final to Munster in March.
