I think if Mark Bennett and Blair Kinghorn can get on the ball more it could be a different story for Edinburgh.

    Glasgow 15-13 Edinburgh

Edinburgh threaten at the end of the half but a brilliant turnover allows Glasgow's Adam Hastings to kick into touch to bring the half to a close.

It was a very rusty opening quarter but as the half has gone on the quality has improved. Set-up nicely for the second half.

  4. Jones to the rescuepublished at 39 mins

    Glasgow 15-13 Edinburgh

Blair Kinghorn makes a half-break and finds Nic Groom who pops off to Chris Dean. He grubbers a clever kick forward but when Glasgow look to be in a bit of trouble, Huw Jones is on hand to clean things up.

The centre has shown up not too badly at full-back up to now.

  5. try

Try! Glasgow 15-13 Edinburghpublished at 37 mins

    Adam Hastings

It's end to end stuff now.

Both teams seem to be finding their feet now and that was an excellent passage of possession play from Glasgow.

They run through phase after phase, with the likes of Oli Kebble battering Warriors towards the line before Adam Hastings takes charge to dart through to score.

  6. try

Try! Glasgow 10-13 Edinburghpublished at 33 mins

Nic Groom, con Van der Walt

    Edinburgh strike back!

Blair Kinghorn threatens initially and it's whipped the other way and Stuart McInally and Eroni Sau punch up to take Edinburgh to the brink of the line. Nic Groom picks up at the base and dots down from close range to take Edinburgh into the lead.

    Quote Message

Edinburgh look a bit one dimensional at the moment. They are not offering a lot.

  8. Jones mops uppublished at 30 mins

    Glasgow 10-6 Edinburgh

A little bit of quality from Mark Bennett as he shows and goes before feeding Blair Kinghorn. He chips ahead but Huw Jones is positioned well to cover and snuff out the danger.

    Quote Message

From an attacking point of view, Glasgow have more shape. Edinburgh are going very direct, not playing a lot of expansive rugby.

  10. Watson dominating the breakdownpublished at 28 mins

    Glasgow 10-6 Edinburgh

There can't be too many better breakdown operators around anywhere at the moment than Hamish Watson.

He doesn't look the biggest but he takes some shifting when he gets over the ball and Warriors are struggling to shift the Scotland flanker in the breakdown battle.

  11. Glasgow start firingpublished at 23 mins

    Glasgow 10-6 Edinburgh

That try has really sparked Glasgow into life.

Warriors have really raised the tempo and started putting some width on the ball, with Hastings and Horne pulling the strings.

  12. try

Try! Glasgow 10-6 Edinburghpublished at 21 mins

    Pete Horne, con Adam Hastings

Fraser Brown hacks the ball ahead and Edinburgh are then pinged near their own line for an offside.

Glasgow go quickly and when it's shipped wide Pete Horne comes in on an angle and glides over untouched.

Amid the celebrations with the Glasgow subs, Stuart McInally gets involved with Adam Hastings and it all kicks off.

Now it feels like we're back!

  13. We expected rust, that's what we're gettingpublished at 20 mins

    Glasgow 3-6 Edinburgh

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

We're averaging a penalty every 90 seconds or so. We expected rust and that's what we're getting. Glasgow have problems at the breakdown where Hamish Watson rules. I'm in the Glasgow studio with Gordy Reid and the big man is not happy. Too many interruptions in play, too many errors, nothing in the way of accurate, exciting rugby. Early days. This game might light up yet. Maybe...

  14. Whistle happypublished at 19 mins

    Glasgow 3-6 Edinburgh

Huw Jones looks to make a break on the outside but when he's hauled down by Mark Bennett he holds on too long and is pinged.

Referee Mike Adamson has had his lungs tested already with the number of times he's had to blow his whistle.

  15. 'I'm bored'published at 17 mins

    Glasgow 3-6 Edinburgh

    Quote Message

I'm bored watching this. Glasgow are giving away far too many penalties. The referee needs to sort out the scrums, they are taking far too long.

  16. Penalty - Glasgow 3-6 Edinburghpublished at 16 mins

    Adam Hastings

Glasgow get the edge in the scrum and force a penalty from which Adam Hastings slots the kick from around 40m to reduce the arrears.

  17. Dodgy callpublished at 13 mins

    Glasgow 0-6 Edinburgh

Finally some space opens up when Jaco van der Walt floats a lovely pass to put Duhan van der Merwe away, but the referee calls it back for a forward pass.

That looked like a harsh call.

  18. Scrappypublished at 10 mins

    Glasgow 0-6 Edinburgh

    Good defence from Glasgow.

Hamish Watson and Stuart McInally try to blast through the Warriors defence but eventually Glasgow are able to force the turnover and ease the pressure.

Adam Hastings clears upfield but from the line-out Pete Horne takes it into contact and is himself turned over.

Scrappy stuff but not unexpected after five months off.

  19. Warriors under pressurepublished at 9 mins

    Glasgow 0-6 Edinburgh

Huw Jones gets pole-axed by Mark Bennett and when the support arrives Richie Gray goes off his feet and again Glasgow are penalised.

    Edinburgh kick to the corner.

  20. Penalty - Glasgow 0-6 Edinburghpublished at 7 mins

    Jaco van der Walt

Danny Wilson will not be thrilled with this start from his side. Once again the discipline fails them and once again Jaco van der Walt does the business from the tee to open up a six-point lead.
