France are rewarded for their breathless start!
They kick their penalty to the corner and, after securing the line-out, the French forwards hurl themselves at the Welsh try line.
Gregory Alldritt is held up just short but lock Romain Taofifenua follows up and powers his way over for the game's opening try, which Matthieu Jalibert converts.

A great start, with lots of intent from both sides. France just pile into the contact area and try to force a turnover. Discipline is going to be so important.

What a breathless opening, the defences are working well.
France 0-0 Wales
France safely gather their line-out and, playing with advantage, they power towards the Welsh try line.
Prop Cyril Baille barges his way over the line but referee Luke Pearce says he's held up.
France 0-0 Wales
That French attack breaks down, so they'll come back for the penalty.
It's wide to the right and near the 10-metre line in the Welsh half, so Brice Dulin kicks to touch inside the Welsh 22.
France 0-0 Wales
Wales get an early spell of possession just inside the French half.
They're not going anywhere fast, so Dan Biggar launches a towering kick, which France full-back Brice Dulin spills.
A bit of kicking tennis ensues before Dulin atones for his error by safely gathering the next high ball.
Then it's France's turn to go through the phases a few yards inside the Welsh half - with a penalty advantage for a high tackle.

It has been an amazing competition, Wales have got here through resilience, skill and being clinical. Tonight they have to go up a level as this is a good France side. An open game might suit Wales

Those close-ups during the anthems - and the sound that comes with them - don't do the players many favours.
Still, top marks for effort.

Brian O'Driscoll was full of praise for Wales' players in that interview, particularly a few of their backs.

Alun Wyn Jones really does not like talking about himself or his stellar achievements.
Ultra professional and with no interest in media coverage or personal milestones, he tends to bat away questions about himself and turn attention back to team matters.
Fortunately for us, his good friend and former Wales, Ospreys and British and Irish Lions team-mate, Adam Jones, is more obliging.
