  1. See you next Saturdaypublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    FT: Wales 16-54 New Zealand

That's all from the Principality Stadium.

Wales' wait for a win over New Zealand continues. That's now 32 consecutive defeats, a run stretching back to 1953.

There were some encouraging moments for Wales, with a vociferous capacity crowd back at the Principality Stadium for the first time since February 2020 and Taine Basham impressing on his first start.

But they were brutally dismantled by the All Blacks.

New Zealand are a formidable team and it doesn't get any easier next Saturday, when Wales host world champions South Africa.

Thanks for joining us today and we hope you'll join us again next weekend when Wales take on the Springboks.

  2. 'Wales fell off a cliff' - Pivacpublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    FT: Wales 16-54 New Zealand

Wales head coach Wayne Pivac tells Amazon Prime: "We were happy at 28-16 with 18 minutes left but we fell off a cliff in those last 18 minutes.

"We'll learn a lot from that game.

"The silly penalty after we scored let them back in it - those are the kind of margins we're talking about.

"There are a lot of players there playing the All Blacks for the first time. I thought Taine Basham had an excellent game."

  3. New Zealand 'ruthless' and 'accurate'published at 19:27 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    FT: Wales 16-54 New Zealand

Wales captain Jonathan Davies tells Amazon Prime: "Credit to New Zealand, it shows why they're one of the best teams in the world, their ruthlessness.

"Their accuracy is great but our boys put one hell of a shift in.

"Our physicality was good in the first half but we've only been together in camp for two weeks.

"We know we get better the longer we spend together.

"They [the All Blacks] don't let you get away with any mistakes. We've got to make sure we take our learnings and keep building."

  4. 'There will be some sore bodies'published at 19:23 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    FT: Wales 16-54 New Zealand

New Zealand captain Sam Whitelock tells Amazon Prime: "The week we've had here has been amazing.

"There was a great atmosphere and it really lifted our boys and it was special for Beaudie [Barrett] on his 100th [cap].

"If you look at Beaudie, it shows the quality of the man. He's won the world player of the year a couple of times.

"It felt like we were getting control and we wanted to ramp it up in the second half.

"The Welsh boys were big and physical. There will be some sore bodies."

  5. 'Lots to improve on for Wales'published at 19:19 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    FT: Wales 16-54 New Zealand

Former Wales flanker on BBC Radio Cymru

It's a good Welsh team but it's a team that's been completely hashed together over two weeks.

There have been so many injuries and their preparation has been seriously impacted.

But New Zealand were head and shoulders above them today. Wales have got to look at New Zealand's style of play and how destructive they are with possession.

And why did Wales kick away possession to a team that are so destructive on the counter-attack? There is lots to improve on.

  6. Man of the match Barrett savours his 100th All Blacks cappublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    FT: Wales 16-54 New Zealand

Man of the match Beauden Barrett tells Amazon Prime: "I'm somewhat relieved it's over - it's been quite a tense week.

"There's nothing like playing in front of a crowd like this. These Welsh fans are hard to beat.

"We had to work for it against a very good Welsh side, a very fit side.

"The big boys fronted up and made it easier for me.

On his 100th cap: "I just wanted to focus on playing well. Tonight I'll enjoy the boys' company.

"It's a very competitive team to be a part of and we have a great culture. I have to thank everyone."

  7. 'Absolutely brilliant from Barrett'published at 19:10 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    FT: Wales 16-54 New Zealand

    Cennydd Davies
    Chwaraeon BBC Cymru

An individual performance of absolute brilliance. The gap between the two sides today was absolutely huge. New Zealand showed exactly why they are the best in the world and Wales had no answers.

  8. Full-time - Wales 16-54 New Zealandpublished at 19:09 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

Jordie Barrett hits the post with his conversion from the right touchline but it hardly matters.

That was an imperious display from New Zealand. Utterly dominant.

  9. try

    Beauden Barrett

And now Barrett has his second try!

It's a second interception score for the All Black fly-half too.

Johnny McNicholl breaks down the left wing and tries to offload to Josh Adams, who looks to have masses of space in front of him.

But Beauden Barrett reads it and jets off down the right wing. He is so quick.

  10. Man of the Match - Beauden Barrettpublished at 77 mins

    Wales 16-49 New Zealand

No surprise that today's official man of the match is the wizard wearing 10 for New Zealand, Beauden Barrett.

He's been at his magical best today, winning his 100th cap.

    Wales 16-49 New Zealand

Backs or forwards, it doesn't matter if players are wearing a black shirt - they are dazzlingly good.

Replacement lock Tupou Vaa'i is the latest to threaten, cantering into the Welsh half and offloading deftly.

Wales earn a reprieve in the form of a penalty and kick to touch.

Some fans have seen enough and are leaving already.

Sometimes you just have to stand up and admire the opposition. The passes are being executed to perfection from every direction. How are you meant to defend play like that?

  13. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Wales 16-49 New Zealand

New Zealand are flying at the moment, attacking at a frightening pace and with a panache that would delight any neutral.

Wales survive the latest onslaught but it feels like damage limitation.

    Caryl James
Former Wales wing on BBC Radio Cymru

If you give Beauden Barrett time on the ball, you're in trouble. He executed that pass perfectly. Wales have just got to go back to basics for these last 10 minutes and try to maintain some discipline.

  15. try

Converted try - Wales 16-49 New Zealandpublished at 71 mins

    Anton Lienert-Brown

    Now it's getting ugly.

Beauden Barrett opens his box of tricks, dummies and throws a netball-esque pass to Rieko Ioane.

The ball continues to make its merry way to the right wing, where centre Anton Lienert-Brown touches down in the corner.

Jordie Barrett absolutely nails his conversion from the right touchline.

  16. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Wales 16-42 New Zealand

It's difficult to overstate how drastically those two All Blacks tries have changed the mood inside the Principality Stadium.

It was bouncing when Johnny Williams scored Wales' try, but the atmosphere now is more like an afternoon at a cricket Test match, a gentle hum of conversation.

  17. Replacementpublished at 69 mins

    Wales 16-42 New Zealand

While the All Blacks were running riot, there were a raft of changes from both sides.

Among those to have been brought on are Wales hooker Kirby Myhill, making his debut, and Ben Thomas, who is on at inside centre for try scorer Johnny Williams.

    Caryl James
Former Wales wing on BBC Radio Cymru

It doesn't matter where they are on the field or who they're playing against. New Zealand are capable of scoring from anywhere and Wales cannot afford to give away so many mistakes.

  19. try

Converted try - Wales 16-42 New Zealandpublished at 66 mins

    Sevu Reece

Two tries in two minutes from the All Blacks!

Wales can't deal with Beauden Barrett's cross-kick, and replacement Sevu Reece grabs the ball, gets tackled and does well to offload to Rieko Ioane.

Ioane and Ardie Savea then combine well and Reece gets the ball back to speed over.

    Brutally ruthless from New Zealand.

New Zealand are so clinical. I'm not sure if the ball was straight in the lineout, actually. But credit to Papalii, he's so destructive.
