That concludes our live coverage from Cardiff.

Wales got their title defence back on track with a gritty win over Scotland.

You can read Gareth Griffiths' match report here.

For Scotland it's huge disappointment, they couldn't back up their Calcutta Cup win over England, as their 20-year barren run in Cardiff continues.

All eyes over to Paris now as Ireland take on France.

Wales have had two quite hard games and they'll be happy with a break now to prepare for another huge game (against England at Twickenham on 26 February) but there's lots for Wales to work on, especially in attack.

Wales could have brought substitutes on earlier, Callum Sheedy could have made an attacking impact possibly if he had more than just a few minutes on the pitch.

  3. 'A horrible feeling' - Hoggpublished at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

Scotland captain Stuart Hogg has been talking to BBC One post-match:

"We’re bitterly disappointed", he said. "The stuff that we're in control of, when we're on the front foot, we're really dangerous. At times, we weren’t allowed to do that.

"We’re a lot better than what we showed. That’s international rugby – you have to take your chances or you end up on the wrong side of the scoreline.

"[Ill-discipline] was absolutely a factor. One penalty or knock-on is fine, but when we compound error upon error that’s frustrating, because we know we’re better than that.

"Credit to Wales, they were fairly good at times.

"It’s a horrible feeling right now but that is Test match rugby."

  4. 'Very hard-fought victory'published at 16:43 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Wales 20-17 Scotland

    Ian Gough
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

Scotland put a lot into that game, it was such a hard Test match.

Wales did enough to hang on and win.

Ryan Elias was fantastic and carried so strongly today.

A very hard-fought victory for Wales but there's a lot to work on.

  5. 'It was a street fight'published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Wales 20-17 Scotland

    Martin Johnson
Former England captain and coach on BBC One

Twenty minutes in, you feared for Wales. But they just battled and battled.

They turned the game into a street fight. Scotland didn't back off but they got involved in something they probably didn't want to get involved with.

Dan Biggar described Wales' triumph as one of the finest of his international career.

The Wales captain marked his 100th Test appearance with four penalties and the decisive drop-goal.

"For me this is one of my best victories in a Welsh shirt," Biggar said.

"It's been a really difficult week. We have had to put up with a lot of flak, rightly so, but to come back here with this crowd and put on a show like that, grind this result out - it's one of my best victories in my 100 [caps].

"We put in a huge shift defensively. Our forwards fronted up, the maul was excellent and it laid a really solid foundation. I am absolutely thrilled.

"This team, if it's anything, it's resilient and it knows how to hit back from a poor performance."

    Wales 20-17 Scotland

Wales head down the tunnel to Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run.

It wasn't quite the running rugby we'd hoped for today, but Wales have retained the Doddie Weir Cup - Scotland have still to get their hands on it since its creation in 2018.

More importantly for Wales, they have got their championship back on track.

  10. 'Terrific response'published at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Wales 20-17 Scotland

    James Hook
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

It's a massive, massive victory for Wales.

If they'd lost they would have to go to Twickenham for the next game and France at home, it doesn't get any easier.

It shows form counts for nothing in this fixture between the two teams.

Wales ground out a hard win and what a terrific response from last week.

  11. 'Missed opportunity for Scotland'published at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Wales 20-17 Scotland

    Rory Lawson
Former Scotland captain on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

It was a massive missed opportunity for Scotland.

No doubt this is a quality Scotland side but the men who wear the red jerseys become superheroes for 90 minutes at the Principality Stadium.

This Welsh side were without a number of their stars and experienced players but they came today with a lot of fight and desire and stayed on the right side of the penalty count and key decisions and it was enough to win the game.

Scotland struggled to break the Welsh defence down really at any stage.

  12. 'Scotland disappointing, Wales good'published at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Wales 20-17 Scotland

    John Barclay
Former Scotland captain on BBC One

Wales kicked better than Scotland and retained the ball very well in the second half.

Scotland couldn't get their hands on the ball.

Throw into that Scotland's discipline - Scotland were very disappointing, but Wales were good.

  13. Elias lauds 'never-say-die attitude'published at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

Ryan Elias hailed Wales' "never-say-die" attitude after they responded to last week's hammering in Ireland by beating Scotland in a tense contest in Cardiff.

"It's huge," the Wales hooker said. "We needed a big reaction from last week, especially for the crowd here today.

"We didn't turn up last week physically or in a lot of aspects of the game. I don't think we fired any shots last week.

"We had a long hard look at ourselves in the week. We were physical, we had that never-say-die attitude. Hopefully we can just keep building on that now."

  14. Postpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Wales 20-17 Scotland

You have to feel for the Scots, they came here as the favourites after their victory over England last weekend and with the hope of defeating Wales in Cardiff for the first time since 2002.

Captain Stuart Hogg has them in a huddle in the middle of the field.

    FT: Wales 20-17 Scotland

    Tom Shanklin
Former Wales international on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

History tells us Wales will perform when their backs are against the wall.

There was a momentum change in that second half - you could see energy levels starting to increase.

It was desire and emotion which got Wales through.

This feels like something special and it didn't matter what the performance was like as the most important thing was the win.

  16. 'Scotland are better than that'published at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Wales 20-17 Scotland

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

Scotland were not good enough - a litany of mistakes.

They never played, and conceded so many penalties. Wales were pretty average, but deservedly win the game.

Whatever game plan they were trying to play is beyond me. I'm quite angry, because Scotland are better than that.

  17. 'Magnificent turnaround'published at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Wales 20-17 Scotland

    Jonathan Davies
Former Wales international on BBC One

It was a fantastic effort - great character and commitment.

They wanted to turn this into a real scrap and that's what they did.

They were comfortable without the ball. Scotland went into their shell a little bit and Wales just deserved to win.

    It's a magnificent turnaround.
