There was nothing difficult about catching that ball (Matt Fagerson). That's the stuff that players should execute with their eyes closed. You can't make excuses for those types of mistakes. If you're doing that against Italy, what are they going to do next week against Ireland?

Italy just don't have the same zip as they did at the start of the first half. A few shoulders are beginning to slump.

Darcy Graham had a way to go, but he's got fast feet - an evasive skillset.

More nifty footwork from Stuart Hogg near halfway. Scotland keep the ball alive as Sam Skinner runs on to a neat Finn Russell pass.

    Tom English

    Quote Message

The game is very unstructured. Scotland have done some things really well - they've been pretty clinical, unlike the previous couple of games. They still look error-prone, but they can get away with it against Italy. It was a flawed 40 minutes.

  17. Can Italy find a second-half solution?published at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2022

    HT: Italy 10-19 Scotland

That interception try must have been hard for Italy to swallow after such an enterprising start from the hosts, but they responded well with a try of their own soon after.

To turn this game round, they must do something they haven't managed in the three previous matches - score some points in the second half.

It's difficult to defend your line 5m out. It's a little pass in behind to Stuart Hogg, and then Chris Harris runs a lovely line.
