Newcastle duo Adam Radwan and Jamie Blamire both scored hat-tricks as England racked up 10 tries to thrash Canada at Twickenham.

Wing Radwan showed his electric pace to make a big impression on his debut, while hooker Blamire demonstrated his scoring prowess from close range.

Joe Cokanasiga added two tries while man of the match Ellis Genge and a penalty try completed England's 10.

Marcus Smith kicked nine conversions as England finished their season in style.

The Harlequins star, who made his England debut in last week's win over the United States, then found out he had been called up to the British and Irish Lions squad when he was replaced with 10 minutes left.

England fly-half Marcus Smith will join up with the British and Irish Lions squad in South Africa as cover for Scotland's Finn Russell.

The 22-year-old was key in Harlequins' run to the Premiership title this season and gained his first Test caps against the United States and Canada.

Russell, 28, is ruled out until the start of the three-Test series on 24 July with an Achilles problem.

"I was shaking. I can't believe it. It's amazing," Smith told Channel 4. "It's been a brilliant last couple of weeks. I couldn't have done it without my family and my team-mates at Quins.

"I will have to pinch myself a little bit on the plane. It's a dream come true if I get the opportunity to play for the Lions, it's the pinnacle of any player.

"It will be special. The last four weeks have been amazing."

Adam Radwan, one of two Newcastle Falcons players to score a hat-trick today along with Jamie Blamire, tells Channel Four: "To get my debut was a dream and for it to go like that I hadn't even dreamt of that.

"I came here wanting to show what I'm about and all the boys backed me up and said 'you just run and we will be there'.

"They put me in space and I just run. I have the easy job, they do the hard stuff."

On his team-mate Blamire also scoring three tries, Radwan added: "I wouldn't have lived it down if he got that and I hadn't done the same. We made our [Newcastle] debuts together so for us to both do this today is incredible."

Eddie Jones is asked about Marcus Smith's Lions call-up and says: "When the bus comes past your door you have to hop on it and do your best.

"He has a good feel for the game, there are little bits he has to work on his game, like anybody.

"Dan Carter was at his best at 35 and he's only 23 so there's lots to work on."

Some quotes now from England head coach Eddie Jones, who tells Channel Four: "They worked really hard and the big thing for the whole group is their desire, how they want to get better.

"The half-backs [Harry] Randall and [Marcus] Smith have shown they can play Test rugby and there are a few others too.

"We want our national team to be a reflection of society and the way they have gelled has been outstanding."

Marcus Smith, who is soon to be heading on a plane to South Africa to join the Lions, tells Channel Four: "I can't believe it. They called me into the tunnel 10 minutes ago and I don't believe it - I was shaking, I still can't believe it, it's amazing.

"It has been a brilliant couple of days and couldn't do it without my family and my team-mates at Quins.

"We were meant to go to the football (England v Italy in the Euro 2020 final) but I will be on the plane now. It won't sink in until I get back from the tour and I will have to pinch myself on the plane.

"The last four weeks have been brilliant and I will never forget them for sure. It will be special, a dream come true, it's the pinnacle for any young player."

We're at Twickenham, not too far from Wembley Stadium and we're treated to a belting out of 'Football's Coming Home' ahead of tomorrow's Euro 2020 final.

Hopefully we'll all be singing that at about 10pm tomorrow.

Ten tries for England - three for Jamie Blamire, three for debutant Adam Radwan, two for Joe Cokanasiga and one for Ellis Genge with a penalty try thrown in as well.

Canada's two tries came from Ross Braude and Kainoa Lloyd and they did not get any points on the board in the second half.

At Twickenham, they've announced Ellis Genge as the Man of the Match, but a vote on England Rugby's official Twitter account gives it to Adam Radwan.

A reminder, today was only Marcus Smith's second international appearance.

He scored a try and kicked four conversions on Sunday against the United States, with a further nine conversions today and the 22-year-old Harlequins fly-half is soon heading to South Africa.

What a chance for him and what an experience.

“We’re obviously disappointed for Finn, who I think has been outstanding since he came into camp in Jersey, but we are optimistic he’ll still play an important role in the Tour,” said Lions head coach Warren Gatland.

“We have two experienced fly halves in Owen Farrell and Dan Biggar, so it’s a great opportunity for the continued development of Marcus. I’ve been following him closely for the past 12 months and I’ve been impressed with how well he’s matured as a player.

“Finn and Marcus are similar in that they like to play with a bit of freedom, so, for me, it’s as close to a like-for-like cover as we can get. We look forward to welcoming him to the group in Cape Town.”

Marcus Smith, with 18 points to his name, is taken off, and will be soon heading to the airport, on a flight to South Africa to join the British and Irish Lions squad.

The sort of day any athlete dreams of.

George Furbank replaces him. Joe Cokanasiga, who would've been hoping to get a hat-trick of tries like team-mates Jamie Blamire and Adam Radwan have done, is also off, replaced by Joe Marchant.

That was Lewis Ludlow's last action of the match as he was replaced by Lewis Ludlam - a 10th cap for the Northampton Saints man.

Another change as Beno Obano on for the try-scorer, and very impressive, Ellis Genge.

England's set-piece dominance continues. The line-out is grabbed by Alex Dombrandt and his team then charge, with captain Lewis Ludlow, maybe lucky to not be sent off in the first half, flopping down on the ball for what could be England's ninth try.

But wait.

The celebrations are cut short as a TMO check says it had been knocked-on. No try.

Northampton Saints' Paul Hill has come on for his sixth cap, with prop Joe Heyes the man replaced.
