  5. Jones impressed by Southgate's style of managementpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 10 July 2021

All attention will be on the England football team tomorrow as they aim to beat Italy and win Euro 2020.

Earlier this week, Eddie Jones was full of praise for his football counterpart Gareth Southgate.

“The thing that has impressed me most about Gareth is his selection," said Jones.

“He’s copped a lot of criticism but he’s stuck to his guns, he’s been very firm in what he thinks is the best team to play, and he’s been proved 100% right.

“I think he’s been very strong because the media here likes to select teams and they have favourites they like to push, and he has been very strong in sticking to his guns and I think it is a great example to every coach.”

Anthony Watson will make his first start of the British and Irish Lions tour against the Sharks later on Saturday.

Watson, Liam Williams and Duhan van der Merwe, who scored a hat-trick in Wednesday's win over the same opposition, make up the back three.

Watson's England team-mate Jamie George will captain the team with Ireland's Jack Conan at eight.

The Lions' original fixture against the Bulls was called off because of an outbreak of Covid in the hosts' camp.

There are 13 changes from the starting line-up that ran out conclusive 54-7 winners in midweek, with outside centre Elliot Daly and Van der Merwe the only players to keep their places.

That match starts at 17:00 BST with our live page beginning at 16:15 BST.

That second try for Jamie Blamire is the last action of the first half and sees the hosts go in with a 28-point advantage at 42-14.

It's six converted tries for England, including this one pictured for debutant Adam Radwan, while Joe Cokanasiga has two to his name with a penalty try thrown in for good measure too.

Canada have scored through Ross Braude and Peter Nelson, but will be fearing being on the receiving end of an absolute hiding.

A thrilling first 40 minutes for the 10,000 at Twickenham to enjoy.

Converted try - England (Blamire)published at 40 mins

    England 42-14 Canada

England finish the half exactly as they started it with a powerful drive and again Canada are unable to stop the machine.

In the first minute it was Jamie Blamire with the try, and he's just done the same again.

Three tries in two matches and his second today, he's making this international stuff look pretty easy.

Marcus Smith continues his perfection with the boot.

Converted try - Canada (Lloyd)published at 34 mins

    England 35-14 Canada

Canada take full advantage of the extra man and it's Kainoa Lloyd, who scored a try in the 68-12 loss to Wales last weekend, and he's left in a two-on-one chance against England.

The hosts can't stop him diving over in the corner and for the second time in the match Peter Nelson adds the extra two.

Eddie Jones will be pleased with the five tries so far, less pleased with the 10 penalties his side have conceded.

  13. Sin-bin - Ludlow (England)published at 37 mins

    England 35-7 Canada

Lewis Ludlow gets a yellow, not a red card.

The TMO official says: "It's a clumsy action, he is trying to step over, but he does make contact knee to face."

Jake Ilnicki, the player caught, is back in the dressing room, with Cole Keith coming on in his place, but England, temporarily, down to 14.

Henry Slade very nearly gets another one for England. It's brilliant work from Marcus Smith, who juggles a pass from Joe Cokanasiga and then produces an excellent kick through.

Canada can't clear their lines and Slade dives on to it, but after a TMO review, it's ruled out because of a knock-on.

Converted try - Cokanasiga (England)published at 15:25 British Summer Time 10 July 2021

    England 35-7 Canada

Twenty-three minutes on the clock and it's the sixth try of the match - the fifth for England.

Joe Cokanasiga gets his second in three minutes. He collects the ball close to the right touchline and he bulldozes his way past Canada's Peter Nelson. A team-mate of Nelson grabs hold of Cokanasiga's shorts, but that's not stopping him. Awesome from Cokanasiga.

Marcus Smith continues his perfect record and we're at 35-7.

    And another!

Ellis Genge storms right through the heart of the Canada defence, but comes up short, with groans from the home fans.

But groans become cheers soon after as England spread the play out to the right wing and Joe Cokanasiga, after two tries on Sunday against the United States, dives over for England's fourth score of the afternoon.
