Great take on the run from young full-back Niamh Terry on her first appearance in the tournament.

But Wales still concede a penalty. Frustrating.

When heads are down Sioned Harris brings that spark and leadership but not necessarily in what she says but how she plays.

    Concerning stat for Wales.

Against New Zealand they made 173 tackles in the entire game and were made to pay when they tired late on.

They've already made 151 tackles in just one half against the Wallaroos.

There's only so long you can keep that up.

Wales have to get their hands on the ball and start making Australia work.

After a really nervy start, Wales grew into the game and have seven points to show for their efforts.

They'll be encouraged by their driving maul, they just need to iron out a few unenforced errors.

The second half promises to be a cracker!

Wales are not going to be happy with that first half, Wales were actually lucky to come away 10-7 down half time.

Wales gradually grew into that half after a nervy start and conceding an early try.

Wallaroos flew out of the blocks with a try for Iliseva Batibasaga but Wales pegged them back through number eight Sioned Harries.

The Welsh set-piece looks decent but it was actually a rare mistake at the scrum that conceded that late penalty.

Lori Cramer kicks the three points with the last kick of the first-half.

It's a tough break for Wales but few could deny Australia deserve the lead.

Australia get the nudge in the scrum for the first time and it earns a late penalty.

Sioned Harries tried to pick up on the back foot to clean up but the Wallaroos back-row were straight on her to win the penalty.

Wales just look like they are on the back foot, they're leaving gaps for players to run in to and Australia are taking that opportunity.

We're into the final minute of the half and the scores are all-square.

There's a scrum inside the Welsh half and I think they'll be happy just to see this out and go in level at the break.

A lot can be said for Jasmine Joyce's speed.

But she is also one of the best cover tacklers in the game.

    She saved Wales' bacon there.
