    Renee Wickliffe

An outstanding finish from the Black Ferns winger, but the pass to put her away from Hazel Tubic looked well forward.

    Surely they'll check this...

Try given - the referee deems the ball initially travelled backwards out of the hands. Not sure about that one.

What a player Theresa Fitzpatrick is. A cheeky little offload out the back, and Fitzpatrick manages to reel it in, and roll over. She has been so impressive.

    Theresa Fitzpatrick

This is genius, it really is.

Alana Bremner breaks the line, spins out of another tackle, and offloads to the onrushing Theresa Fitzpatrick, who juggles the ball and somehow manages to get it down in the face of several scrambling defenders.

    Take a bow.

    New Zealand 24-0 Scotland

Scotland's best passage of the game so far, as strong carries from Rhona Lloyd and Jade Konkel-Roberts take them over the gain-line.

New Zealand slam the door shut though, and are back on the attack themselves...

    New Zealand 24-0 Scotland

Brilliant work at the breakdown drives Scotland off the ball.

Just to give you and idea of New Zealand's dominance so far, they have made 68 carries to Scotland's eight.

Scotland win a scrum, and as Rory Lawson has just said on the radio, this is a chance to slow things down and have a breather.

    One way traffic this.

It's a great line from Mikaele-Tu'u, after Scotland defended the initial lineout fairly well.

New Zealand have their bonus point try inside 17 minutes.

    Sarah Hirini

It's a try fest in Whangarei.

Joanah Ngan-Woo punches a hole in Scotland's defensive line, and Sarah Hirini runs a lovely support line, which allows her to stroll under the posts.

It really is gorgeous stuff. Let-l'iga was the provider for the opener, and now goes over herself. Scotland are unable to clear their lines.

    Ayesha Leti-l'iga

    Ruthless from the Black Ferns.

Scotland lose posession from their own lineout, and New Zealand sweep forward.

A wonderful miss pass picks out Ayesha Leti-l'iga, and Rhona Lloyd cannot stop the winger crossing in the corner.

A knock-on in the tackle gives Scotland the put-in at the game's first scrum.

However, New Zealand win a penalty off the back of it, and are immediately on the attack again...

You've got to applaud the quality of the handling in that attack. It was a Fitzpatrick-Tubic combination that led to that score.

  19. How can Scotland qualify?published at 04:42 British Summer Time 22 October 2022

    New Zealand v Scotland (04:45)

New Zealand have already secured themselves top spot after two bonus-point wins.

After losing to Australia and Wales, Scotland have to beat the hosts to give themselves any chance of reaching the quarter-finals.

Even then, they still need results in other pools to go their way.

    New Zealand v Scotland (04:45)

Scotland fullback Chloe Rollie came off injured in last week's 14-12 defeat to Australia, and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the tournament.

20-year old Edinburgh University student Shona Campbell replaces her in the 15 jersey.

The rest of the starting XV is unchanged from that narrow loss.
