    Magnificent.

Keep it, kill the clock. England's pack roll forwards at glacial pace before eventually Canada can't resist and give away a penalty. That could be that, he says again.

    Canada 19-26 England

Canada line-out, inside the 22. A converted try would take us to extra time...

But England will have the scrum after another scruffy set-piece from the Canadians. That could be that.

    Canada 19-26 England

That was disheartening in the extreme for Canada. Brilliant from England, who have now conceded a penalty on halfway though.

    Canada 19-26 England

Canada setting up camp in the England 22. Into their 20th phase and still no chink of daylight in the England line. Eventually England rip it away and clear downfield.

    Titanic effort.

Any mistake, handling error or loss of discipline could be decisive now. In the dying stages.

    Canada 19-26 England

England's defence hasn't had a testing like this in a long time. Huge hit from replacement Sadia Kabeya stems the tide a touch. Canada may run out of time before they run out of endeavour.

Canada scrum, dangerous area. This game is not over, far from it.

The amateur point is huge. It's Canada still trying to raise the intensity. Fitness does not seem to be an issue at all. We thought they might struggle at 60 minutes against a professional side but that's not the case.

We shouldn't labour the point but what an effort from Canada. Amateur side, matching England for 70+ minutes. Pushing hard till the end. They're a converted try away from levelling this up.

Keep your heads! England replacement Holly Aitchison kicks straight into the back of team-mate Abbie Ward and that puts her side back under immediate pressure.

    Canada 19-26 England

Big moment for Emily Scarratt, but she's made of permafrost and laces a penalty through from a fair way out with a lowering sun in her eyes to boot. Big.

It's really tight now - we're starting to get a little bit nervous because we're not used to seeing England in a game like this.

England need to take the next points and get back control. I thought Canada would be running out of steam by now but that score will have really lifted them.

We have a four-point game! Just over 10 minutes to go. England win a quick penalty.

Converted try - Canada 19-23 Englandpublished at 68 mins

    Tyson Beukeboom (con de Goede)

Game on again! Canada deserve that. The superbly-named Tyson Beukeboom started that with a great break, Canada recycle the ball, stay calm and eventually she burrows over from close range.

Captain Sophie de Goede adds the extras and it's all got very close...

Still Canada work away at the white wall. Such an impressive display this from the amateur side. But England are closing in on a 30th win in a row and a place in the World Cup final.

Here come Canada again though, great break from Tyson Beukeboom...

England are back up to 15 as Vickii Cornborough returns from the sin bin. Well managed. Canada force seven more phases of heavy pressure but England's defence stands strong and wins the ball back.
