Helena Rowland is such a huge loss to England because she's so versatile and has been one of the standout players of this side. Hopefully she will be fine for next weekend if England make the final.

Helena Rowland is sitting up and doesn't need the stretcher, she leaves the field on a cart and applauds the crowd. That's a positive sign.

Both sides huddle up for some motivational chat as we are in for a lengthy stoppage here. Helena Rowland was wrapped up in a tackle and stayed down. There is a stretcher out on the pitch.

England's body language is calm, Canada are clapping, hitting their legs, they are pumped. England don't need to panic. They know they have the skills to win the game, but haven't Canada put on a show?

Canada are an amateur side and England are professional so you would expect the Red Roses to see this one out on their superior fitness alone.

BUT few would have predicted that half-time scoreline so who knows?

The hosts - and holders - will start as favourites but France have won the last four meetings of the sides, including back-to-back matches last November.

Having dented the aura of the five-time world champions, France coach Thomas Darracq believes his team will not be over-awed when they bid to reach the World Cup final for the first time.

"The match in Eden Park will be unique, because it is a World Cup semi-final, because it is not an autumn tour," he said on Thursday.

"It's a really special moment. Having beaten them gives you that feeling that it's playable. But even if we had lost, it would still be playable. But maybe this gives a little more strength to this group."
