Oh, Manu Tuilagi! What a run from the England centre, hitting a great line from Henry Slade's pass and then reaching top speed in the blink of an eye to carry England deep into the Tonga half.

He's then back on his feet quickly to stop a Tonga break after the ball is turned over.

Before today's match we gave you the chance to play head coach and more than 25,000 England teams were selected by BBC Sport readers, on the whole they agreed with Eddie Jones.

But readers were slightly more optimistic than Jones about fly-half Marcus Smith's ability to bounce back from injury, with 91% wanting Smith to take the starting 10 shirt.

A solid 53% wanted Alex Dombrandt at number eight, with Tom Curry and Sam Underhill alongside him in the back row.

Here is the side you chose...

BBC Sport readers' starting XV: Steward; May, Slade, Farrell, Radwan; Smith, Youngs; Genge, George, Sinckler, Itoje, Lawes, Underhill, Curry, Dombrandt.

Totally agree with comments about George Ford. Ford is an outstanding player who has always been handicapped when playing for England by having to play alongside the pedestrian Farrell whose only real talent is goal kicking. Apart from his first few games for England Ford has never been allowed to play with a big dynamic inside centre. Farrell is always awful when he plays fly half without Ford. Ford has been totally mismanaged by England who have made little use of his running and passing game in recent times due to a totally misconceived game plan. Most proper rugby folk as opposed to occasional England supporters know this.

England find time for another before the break!

The hosts win the line-out and begin to drive forwards, before Jamie George flicks it out on the blindside for scrum half Ben Youngs and he goes motoring down the line to score.

That's five tries in the opening 40 minutes for England.

    Oh no!

Almost a sensational intercept try from Telusa Veainu but he is felled just short by Courtney Lawes.

Veainu takes the ball deep inside his own half and accelerates up the line, skipping inside Freddie Steward and straightening up towards the chalk once more.

The full-back thinks he's in, but out of nowhere comes England captain Lawes and Veainu spills the ball in the tackle inches from the target,

That would have been some score!

    England are flying now.

Ellis Genge does superbly from Courtney Lawes' offload, bursting through the Tonga line and finding Maro Itoje in support.

Itoje has the legs, the power and the nous to force his way over the line and touch the ball down to increase the hosts' lead despite attention from several defenders.

It's a simple conversion for Henry Slade.

    Lovely score from England!

Manu Tuilagi bounces off defenders like a contestant running the gauntlet on Gladiators, before England fling it quickly back across the field to the left to open up the space.

The hosts have numbers and Jonny May is the man arriving, pulling off a little stop and go before he wriggles in at the corner for a third try for Eddie Jones' side.

Henry Slade tags on the extras.

Nice feet from Henry Slade too, but his flick out the back of his hands cannot find a team-mate and Tonga survive. England are starting to pick a few more holes in that line.

George Furbank with a tremendous break!

The stand-in England fly half goes skipping through the Tonga line and is then hauled down by a high tackle inside the 22. Great stuff from the moustachioed flyer.

Right then, Tonga on the board and England's momentum is dented just a tad.

The visitors pick up some speed of their own as they work it left and the giant Walter Fifita goes thundering into a tackle.

The chip through has slightly too much on it though and Freddie Steward sweeps up.
