  1. Postpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 21-0 Ireland

There was only one thing on Laure Sansus' mind as she picked the ball up at the back of the scrum.

And the visitors were never stopping her getting in down the side for France's second try.

  2. try

Trypublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 21-0 Ireland

Try number three for the dominant hosts.

Strong play from the pack eventually forces Audrey Forlani over, with the try awarded after consultation with the TMO.

We're only past the hour-mark but half-time can't come quickly enough here for Ireland, who are continually being pressurised into making errors that are proving costly.

  3. try

Trypublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 16-0 Ireland

It's looking ominous for Ireland as France cross for their second try.

A scrum in the corner and it looked like it was going to be a number eight pick-up-and-drive, but it was scrum-half Laure Sansus who showed a nice bit of invention to nip down the side and over.

The conversion from Droin is wide.

  4. Postpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 16-0

The sweeping move was delightful, the finish clinical.

Have another look at the opening try of the game from Melissande Llorens.

  5. Penaltypublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 11-0 Ireland

This game is starting to get away from Ireland.

France fly-half Caroline Drouin slots her second penalty of the game in the 19th minute to make it 11-0 - but the visitors are perhaps lucky that their hosts did not punish them with a try from that play.

Ireland need to dig deep here.

  6. Unforced errors costing Ireland - Griffinpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 11-0 Ireland

    Quote Message

Ireland's unforced errors are giving the ball back to the French too often and stopping them from building any momentum. If they can cut those out then they will have more chance of getting a foothold in this game.

  7. try

Trypublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 8-0 Ireland

That's a lovely first try of the match from France.

They were good in the set-;piece and Caroline Drouin was at the heart of a sweeping move from right to left that ended up with wing Melissande Llorens crossing in the corner for the score.

Drouin wasn't able to add the extras, but that try will have settled any nerves in the home camp.

  8. Disallowed trypublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 3-0 Ireland

Huge disappointment for Ireland there as Eve Higgins has a try disallowed.

The TMO had a look at the line-out that led to the score and ruled that there had been an obstruction, meaning the visitors' celebrations were cut short.

It looked like the right decision, though, but Ireland can take heart from getting a foothold in the game.

  9. Hosts up and runningpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 3-0 Ireland

Caroline Drouin was unlikely to miss a penalty from that range and she slots between the posts comfortably to open the scoring for the French.

Ireland yet to properly settle so far, they could do with getting their hands on the ball for a spell.

  10. Show timepublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France 0-0 Ireland

Anthems and formalities complete, this match is underway in Toulouse.

Big, big test this for Ireland - can they rise to it?

  11. Shoulder to shoulderpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France v Ireland

That was a passionate rendition of Ireland's Call from the visiting team there.

And the French never disappoint when it comes to passion for their national anthem.

    Nearly time for some rugby.

England secured the title for the third time in 2021, defeating France 10-6 in a thrilling final at Twickenham Stoop.

Will England be able to repeat their success in 2022?

    France v Ireland (14:15 BST)

Former captain Ciara Griffin is one of the most-informed voices on Irish women's rugby - and we've signed her up to give her views during this Six Nations campaign.

Ciara reckons there will have been some home truths told in Ireland's post-match analysis after the Wales defeat - and highlights ill-discipline as one area that her former team-mates will need to improve on in Toulouse.

Her weekly column is a great read on the BBC Sport website - click here for this week's full offering.

It was a disappointing start to the Six Nations campaign for Ireland last weekend as Wales came back to win in Dublin.

  17. Ireland go againpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 2 April 2022

    France v Ireland (14:15 BST)

So you've lost your opening Six Nations match to Wales and are looking to bounce back and reignite your campaign.

    France away, anyone?

That's what's facing Ireland's women today as they go to Toulouse to play what head coach Greg McWilliams described this week as one of the best teams in the world.

The mood music coming out of the Irish camp has been positive, with McWilliams insisting they are taking the positives from the defeat by the Welsh - and backing this up by naming an unchanged starting side.

It's undoubtedly a huge test for the girls in green and one you can sit back and enjoy with us as we bring you live coverage on the BBC Two Northern Ireland, BBC Red Button, BBC iPlayer and here on the BBC Sport website.

Oh, good afternoon by the way. We jumped straight into getting the ball out and forgot to exchange pleasantries.

Anyway, France v Ireland. Let's do this.
