And now Wales win a free-kick as Zander Fagerson is penalised at the re-set scrum.
The prop pulls the usual perplexed face at the decision...

A squint line-out then gives Scotland the put-in at the game's first scrum.

Wales profit from a knock-on and eat up some ground before launching the ball high. The kick is too long though and Finn Russell makes a comfortable mark.

What a chance this is for Dafydd Jenkins. His first start for Wales and first time in the Six Nations cauldron.
He knows Alun Wyn Jones is still around, Adam Beard is a permanent fixture and Will Rowlands is to come back, but he knows if he plays well he could hold onto this jersey.
Warren Gatland always said that to us... Play well and you keep your place.
Jenkins is big, abrasive and has all the tools to be a Wales international for years to come. What a day for him.

Here we go at a raucous Murrayfield, with Finn Russell getting us started.
Can Scotland walk the walk after a week one win or will wounded Wales bite back?

I can't believe it, Jamie Roberts getting goose bumps at Flower of Scotland... moment of the day so far!

A huge ovation for Rob Wainwright as he emerges from the tunnel with the match ball and has time for a quick word with both captains.

Today's winners will pick up the Doddie Weir Cup, named after the legendary Scotland second row, who died in November after battling motor neurone disease.
This is Scotland's first home game since that sad day.
A group of around 180 cyclists have made the 555 mile-journey from Cardiff, led by Weir's former team-mate Rob Wainwright, who will deliver the match ball.
Olympian Sir Chris Hoy and England World Cup winner Martin Johnson were also in the fund-raising peloton.

One big difference between these two sides in their respective games last weekend was how clinical they were when presented with opportunities.
Wales made 11 entries into the Ireland 22 on the opening weekend, but averaged just 0.91 points per entry.
On the other hand, Scotland had just seven entries into England's 22, the joint-fewest in the round (level with Italy), but they came away with four tries and a penalty, averaging a round-high 4.1 points per entry.

My concern is that Scotland have to believe how good they are and that they take it to Wales.
Rugby comes down to simple things like winning collisions and when you ave a backline that include Van Der Merwe, Huw Jones and Tuipulotu, they can win those little battles that can unlock defences.
They just have to go for it.

I'm pretty nervous about today after what happened last week.
Scotland are still only at about 80% or 90% so there's room for improvement... But there's some significant improvement to come from Wales who were poor against Ireland.
They will have learned a lot from that.
He's chucked in the kids up front and I'm really excited to see how they go today. But do they have enough to stop the firepower of this Scottish pack? I'm not sure.

Wales will wear black armbands to pay tribute to former prop Tony Faulkner, who this week died at the age of 81.
Widely known as 'Charlie' Faulkner, he won 19 Wales caps, each of them alongside Pontypool front-row team-mates Graham Price and Bobby Windsor, also joining them on the 1977 British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand.

Wales head coach Warren Gatland has been explaining the changes he's made in the forwards.
"They needed more international experience, that was part of the plan - looking forward to seeing how they go," he said, speaking on BBC One.
"It's been a little bit spiky [in the build-up]. The senior players have been fantastic, helping those younger players through training, giving them tips - it's been a good week.
"We're thinking towards France at the end of the year. There's a number of young players that need time in the middle."

Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend laughed when Wales' record against Scotland was put to him.
"What happens in the past is the past," he said on BBC One. "You have to deal with the 80 minutes in front of you. We know we have to be better than last week.
"There were good elements to our game [against England], second half was excellent in attack and defence, but first half we weren't as accurate and needed more energy and ambition.
"We'll have to improve this week to beat a strong Wales team. I don't think they've got nothing to lose, but two defeats would put them under pressure. We respect them hugely, they played very well after the first 20 minutes against Ireland.
"They'll take confidence from the performance if not the result, and they'll be hugely up for it today."

While 1999 was the last time Scotland finished top of the table, no team can match Wales' record of six titles, four Grand Slams and five Triple Crowns since Italy joined the party in 2000.

It should be pointed out that Scotland’s Gatland curse is restricted to Wales. Scotland beat the New Zealander when he was in charge of Ireland back in 1999 on their way to the championship title.

I think we should all take a moment to admire the majesty of this hat.

Here's another stat to bolster Welsh hopes and get Scotland fans chewing on their nails before we kick-off.
Head coach Warren Gatland has never lost to Scotland with Wales. That's a remarkable run of 11 victories - home and away between 2008 and 2019.
