It’s extraordinary to think that Louis Rees-Zammit now starts in the number 15 shirt for Wales.

It excites me! As a former winger I can see he has the attributes to play full-back in the future.

I believe he needs to have the opportunity.

I think the target is, and would have been to see how Louis Rees-Zammit did in that (full-back) position.

Wayne Pivac and the coaching team feel as if he’ll be able to play the 15 position, as well as the winger.

  4. Team news - Pumas captain Montoya out with injurypublished at 16:47 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Wales v Argentina (17:30 GMT)

On Thursday, Argentina head coach Michael Cheika initially named an unchanged squad from the 30-29 victory over England at Twickenham.

However, hooker and captain Julian Montoya has failed to recover from a rib injury and will not feature this afternoon.

London Irish hooker Agustín Creevy, 37, will start in Montoya's place.

Number eight Pablo Matera will captain the side in the absence of Leicester hooker Montoya.

Argentina: Mallia; M Carreras, Moroni, De la Fuente, Boffelli; S Carreras, Bertranou; Gallo, Creevy, Gomez Kodela, Alemanno, Lavanini, Gonzalez, Kremer, Matera (captain).

Replacements: Ruiz, Tetaz Chaparro, Bello, Paulos, Isa, Morales, Talbornoz, M Orlando.

  5. Team news - Rees-Zammit switches to full-backpublished at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Wales v Argentina (17:30 GMT)

Wales head coach Wayne Pivac has made three personnel changes from the side that lost 55-23 to New Zealand last weekend.

Prop Dillon Lewis comes in for Tomas Francis, while flanker Dan Lydiate replaces the injured Tommy Reffell.

Leigh Halfpenny misses out again through injury so Louis Rees-Zammit makes his first international start at full-back, Gareth Anscombe reverts to fly-half, with Rhys Priestland making way, and there is a return for Alex Cuthbert on the wing.

There is no room in the 23-man squad for Francis or Alun Wyn Jones, who is replaced on the bench by Ben Carter.

Wales: Rees-Zammit; Cuthbert, North, Tompkins, Dyer; Anscombe, T Williams; G Thomas, Owens, D Lewis, Beard, Rowlands, Lydiate, Tipuric (capt), Faletau.

Replacements: Elias, R Jones, S Wainwright, Carter, Morgan, Hardy, Priestland, Watkin.
