    Ireland 0-20 England

Marlie Packer is penalised as England approach the line, taking an Irish defender out around the head and neck - that's a no-can-do. Unsurprisingly, the skipper has a debate with the referee over that.

    Ireland 0-20 England

Ireland have a rare spell of pressure inside the England 22, but as the ball goes wide it's lost in contact and Claudia MacDonald hoofs it downfield.

That was the first concerted Irish attack, they'll be so frustrated that it broke down after putting England's pack under some pressure for a while.

Hannah Botterman walks off and looks to be really upset as she holds her shirt up over her mouth - she's not long been back from a knee injury. She is replaced by Mackenzie Carson in the front row.

In games like this kicking doesn't really come into consideration but potentially in a tight title decider against France it might come down to a penalty kick or conversion. It's an area England will be working on.

    Ireland 0-20 England

An England move ends as Marlie Packer loses the ball in contact, but there is concern as Hannah Botterman stays down and is seen to by the medical team for a leg injury.

The prop looks to be in a bit of trouble.

  6. try

    Marlie Packer

All too easy for England, as the skipper takes a short pass from Natasha Hunt to smash over the line close to the sticks.

Despite the proximity to the goals, Lagi Tuima misses an easy conversion.

Sarah Beckett made a great run and again England held their width and it was a walk-in for Ellie Kildunne.

    Ellie Kildunne

That's more like it, but it started with a not-straight line-out from Ireland's hooker Neve Jones.

At the retake, second row Sarah Beckett went crashing through the Irish backline before the ball was flung wide to Ellie Kildunne, who had a simple chance to jog round off the wing nearer to the posts. Her effort's for nothing as Lagi Tuima misses an easier kick at goal.

    Ireland 0-10 England

Ireland have hardly, if at all, been into England's half yet but that's in line with what we might have expected.

England have tightened up since that sloppy phase after the opener.

England will be a lot happier with that. They kept possession of the ball well and Tatyana Heard kept the width.

She has come back from a significant injury on more than one occasion and is growing into a great international centre.

England go across the pitch after a snaking run by Abbie Dow on the right, it's spun out to the left touchline to Tatyana Heard and she has an easy chance to slip over just inside the flag.

Another tough conversion chance goes begging for Lagi Tuima, but England are in control

It's been a bit scrappy with unforced errors and discipline problems for both sides but hopefully as the players settle in we'll see more free-flowing rugby.

    Ireland 0-5 England

Again it is sloppy from England, as a wild pass from Claudia MacDonald sails over Lagi Tuima's head and into touch after a move that had gone sideways.

  14. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Ireland 0-5 England

England push too early and the referee blows up to give Ireland the chance at their own put-in. The hosts are holding firm at the moment.

    Ireland 0-5 England

Another England attack ends when they spill the ball on the right wing. It's not been as clinical as England would expect since the try.

  16. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Ireland 0-5 England

Wow! Ireland disrupt the scrum and get a penalty. Hannah Botterman is not happy and speaks to the referee, but that's a nice filip for the home side after that bad start.

    Ireland 0-5 England

England rumble back towards where Beckett crashed over, but credit to Ireland for holding firm before turning it over to get the put-in at a scrum.

Sarah Beckett has had a rough run of injuries and will be very happy.

Two minutes in and England are ahead already.

Natasha Hunt was close to going over under the posts, then the ball was spun right and then left to land in the clutches of Sarah Beckett, giving the lock forward a simple chance to go over in the corner.

Lagi Tuima misses a tough conversion from near the touchline.

There's been a lot of talk about the possible scoreline but Ireland are at home and will show plenty of fight.
