Today was meant to be a wee bit warmer after this week's cold snap, but you wouldn't know it thanks to the bitingly cold wind sweeping across Edinburgh.

Good to see the punters have got plenty of layers on.

    Edinburgh v Castres (13:00)

Castres are a top-quality outfit - they finished first in the Top 14 at the end of the regular 2021-22 season, losing 29-10 to Montpellier in the competition's final.

However, after they opened their European campaign with a loss away to Exeter, they have made 13 changes to their starting XV.

Edinburgh will fancy their chances against what is essentially a second string side.

  12. Four changes for Edinburghpublished at 12:45 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2022

    Edinburgh v Castres (13:00)

Mike Blair makes four changes to the side that pushed Saracens all the way last time out.

WP Nel and Glen Young come into the pack in place of Luan de Bruin and Jamie Hodgson; Matt Currie replaces Mark Bennett in the centres, and there is a late change on the wing - Duhan van der Merwe misses out, so Damien Hoyland starts.

    Edinburgh v Castres (13:00)

Good afternoon and welcome to our coverage of the European Champions Cup, as Edinburgh welcome Castres to the Scottish capital.

Mike Blair's men will want to go one better than last weekend, when they fell agonisingly short away to Saracens.

We'll have live text updates for you throughout - let's get to it.
