That's all from me on the live text for tonight - thanks for your company.

The radio gang are still picking the bones out of that game, so tune in to that if you please.

    See you all next year!

  2. 'There's a lot of belief now' - Smithpublished at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2022

    FT: Edinburgh 25-32 Glasgow

A far more upbeat head coach now - here are Glasgow boss Franco Smith's thoughts on BBC Radio Scotland:

"It was fantastic," Smith said. "Everybody has chipped in and worked really hard.

"I think there's a lot of belief now. We fought well. The character of the boys - if we play to our strengths, we are a dangerous team.

"[Sione Tuipulotu] was really good. He's put up his hand for a lot of responsibility this season, and he led the charge.

"We're just looking at the next game - it will be a tough one next week."

  3. 'I'm not getting the best out of the players' - Blairpublished at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2022

    FT: Edinburgh 25-32 Glasgow

Edinburgh head coach Mike Blair has also been talking to BBC Radio Scotland:

"First half I was really pleased," he said. "We didn't over complicate things. We were putting pressure on them with our kicking game, our breakdown was excellent.

"It was really disappointing to see what happened in the second half. Glasgow got on top from a physicality point of view and we struggled.

"This is the art of coaching, the tough bit - you work out what's going wrong and find solutions. We've played some excellent rugby at times this season, but sides have got stuck into us and we haven't had the answers.

"I'm obviously not getting the best out of the players at the moment. The tightness of the league means that if you do get on a run, you're back in the play-off positions. We need to keep that belief.

"This has been a tough period for us - lots of guys have played five games on the bounce. We'll have to look at freshening things up."

That was the Glasgow we know - they can be a devastating team.

Edinburgh's flakiness cost them - they found nothing when Glasgow asked questions of them. Their intensity and belief evaporated.

Glasgow's body language was that of a team that knew they were going to win; Edinburgh look like a side that has a lot of ability but not a lot of mental strength.

  5. 'We're in a good place' - Hornepublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2022

    FT: Edinburgh 25-32 Glasgow

Glasgow assistant coach Pete Horne on BBC Radio Scotland:

"It was brilliant," he said. "The boys brought so much energy in the second half, they played a real positive brand and they got the rewards from it.

"Franco spoke about being brave, trying to play, not playing the scoreboard and being positive.

On Sione Tuipulotu: "Wow! That guy can play. He's been brilliant all season - he's one of the best players in the league.

"That's five wins in a row now. We're in a good place. We've got a big game against the Stormers next weekend - hopefully we can keep this momentum going."

The ball goes forward, and that is that at Murrayfield.

A good night's work for the Warriors.

  7. try

Try Edinburgh 25-32 Glasgowpublished at 80 mins

    Patrick Harrison

This is a superb finish from Edinburgh's young hooker.

He snipes down the blind-side and stretches out to dot down before he is bundled into touch.

The conversion misses, but Edinburgh will get one chance to try to draw this game.

  8. Player of the Matchpublished at 79 mins

    Sione Tuipulotu

Glasgow's 13 has been named Player of the Match, and rightly so.

Ali Price's ability is not in question, but George Horne must be putting himself at the front of the queue for the Six Nations - he's so dangerous, so elusive, and he kicks his goals.

    Edinburgh 20-19 Glasgow

    Glasgow's pressure is rewarded.

Marshall Sykes comes through the middle of a ruck and is well offside when George Horne, rather cutely, or cynically depending on your allegiances, throws his pass against the big lock.

Sykes is sent to the bin, and Kyle Steyn gestures at the posts.

A huge tackle from George Turner dislodges the ball and halts any Edinburgh momentum.

The hosts lead by one point on the night, but trail by five on aggregate.

The team that best keep their heads in the time remaining will come out on top, you feel.

Edinburgh are defending really well. They're giving Glasgow no other option other than to kick in behind.

Glasgow are trying to go left and right, but it's just not working.
