That's all from us - thanks for joining our coverage.

Leinster's pursuit of the fifth star on the jersey continues after a thumping win over Leicester at the Aviva Stadium.

You can read my colleague Phil Cartwright's report here.

It's Toulouse or Sharks back at the Aviva next up in the semi-final, but don't worry, you won't have to wait until then for more Champions Cup rugby.

We'll be back tomorrow with live text updates of Exeter v Stormers.

    Until then...

I don't think Leinster were at their best, certainly not in the opening half in particular. I thought that was down to not just committed defence from the Tigers, but they were also very well organised. They'd done their homework and had a plan to frustrate them defensively by not committing huge numbers to the rucks. Leinster couldn't find a way around it and they were being forced into making mistakes that we don't normally associate with them.

The scoreline will say Leinster are steamrollering towards the final, but I think there was enough, if you're Toulouse or Sharks, to see some chinks in the armour that I think they will certainly have to improve on if they're going to go all the way in this tournament.

  3. 'We knew if we kept pounding the rock, we would score'published at 22:01 British Summer Time 7 April 2023

    FT: Leinster 55-24 Leicester

Speaking to BT Sport, Leinster captain James Ryan said: "It was a very tough game. At half time we were in a proper game but we knew if we kept pounding the rock we would get some scores and we did that.

"It's a good win. It's good to have Garry Ringrose and Caelan Doris back, so we are in a pretty good position now, in terms of guys who are fit.

"It was a big moment when we were down one man in the scrum but we won a big scrum penalty and that was a big turning point.

"One of our strengths is our depth and everyone is ready to fit into the system. We only had five days to sell tickets with a quick turnaround and got 28,000 in here. We have the semi in three weeks so let's try and get 52,000 for that."

Leicester were within touching distance at half-time but they struggled to contain the Leinster rolling maul, which did so much damage.

The Irish side were pretty handy with the ball in hand too with some excellent tries.

They will return here later this month for a semi-final with either Toulouse or Sharks.

  6. try

    John McKee (con Ross Byrne)

Another rolling maul ends with Leinster surpassing the 50-point mark.

John McKee is off the bench to gather the ball at the back of the maul, which keeps rolling until it crosses the Leicester whitewash.

    Ross Byrne adds another conversion.

  7. Sin-bin - Mike Brown (Leicester)published at 21:49 British Summer Time 7 April 2023

    Leinster 48-24 Leicester

Just so you're up to date, Mike Brown picked up a yellow card for a high tackle in between those two tries.

Leicester down to 14 men for the second time in this game.

  8. try

Converted Try - Leinster 48-24 Leicesterpublished at 74 mins

    Harry Potter (con Jimmy Gopperth)

An intercept try for a late Leicester consolation.

Ross Byrne has pulled the strings tonight but he flicks the ball out the back as he tries to keep it alive and Harry Potter is on hand to scoop it up.

The Leicester centre is off down the other end and no one is catching him from there.

Jimmy Gopperth is off the bench to kick the conversion.

  9. try

Converted Try - Leinster 48-17 Leicesterpublished at 71 mins

    Jimmy O'Brien (con Ross Byrne)

It's a run in for Leinster's sixth try of the night.

The ball is moved off the top of the line-out and Jimmy O'Brien is on hand for the pass back inside.

It's a try his performance has deserved and Ross Byrne adds the conversion.

Ross Byrne's eyes light up as he snipes through an opening in the Leicester defence but Harry Potter recovers well to force the Leinster 10 to knock on.

We'll come back for the penalty and Byrne pops it into touch.

  11. try

    Olly Cracknell (con Handre Pollard)

Leicester are over from close range.

Olly Cracknell has carried well since coming off the bench and the back-row forward powers over for the Tigers' second try.

I said Leicester looked out of ideas but what do I know..?

Handre Pollard adds the extra two points.

With 15 minutes left on the clock, the sting has just gone out of this game.

Apart from that brief spell when Leinster were reduced to 14 men, they have been dominant this evening.

    Leicester look out of ideas.

  13. try

Converted Try - Leinster 41-10 Leicesterpublished at 61 mins

    Scott Penny (con Ross Byrne)

    I said it was ominous.

Another line-out deep in Leicester territory and another rolling maul.

Scott Penny spots his opportunity to peel off and has too much power for Jack van Poortvliet to smash his way to the line.

    Ross Byrne kicks the conversion.

    Leinster 34-10 Leicester

Caelan Doris is back on the field so Leinster are back to their full complement, while Leicester are down to 14.

    Ominous.

  15. try

Penalty Try - Leinster 34-10 Leicesterpublished at 59 mins

The game is slipping away from Leicester.

Leinster roll towards the whitewash again but Leicester collapse the maul and the referee does not hesitate to award the penalty try.

Charlie Clare is sent to the bin for his role in the collapse and the hosts are clear now.

    Leinster 27-10 Leicester

Ross Byrne has been assured with ball in hand but he shows he is equally capable of getting stuck in at the breakdown.

The Leinster fly-half forces Leicester to hold on in the ruck and win the penalty.

We'll see what Leicester can produce because they're going to have to produce something. They've certainly got the quality in their back line to do it, certainly in the back three, but they haven't found a way to unlock Leinster.

    Too good.

Garry Ringrose spots the gap in the Leicester defence after patient build-up and delicate hands in midfield.

The centre makes the break and throws the ball back inside for Jamison Gibson-Park to run in unopposed.

    Ross Byrne adds the conversion.

  19. Penalty - Leinster 20-10 Leicesterpublished at 50 mins

    Ross Byrne

He was never going to miss from there.

Ross Byrne makes it four from four from the tee and Leinster stretch their lead to beyond a converted try.

It's an enormous Leinster scrum, and listen to that reaction around Dublin as Leinster, despite being a man down, make mincemeat of the Tigers scrum.
