I screamed no because I thought the chance was there to spread the play but Louis Rees-Zammit put the kick in and no one was going to beat him to the ball.

    Louis Rees-Zammit

He's got his hat-trick... but it was a bizarre one.

It was clever play because he spotted acres of space where the Georgian wing would be covering.

He wins the foot-race - of course - but it was such a close call if he got downward pressure.

He almost ran past it but reached back to press down... by his finger tips.

    Costelow misses the conversion.

What is Taine Basham doing with that kind of tackle?

He needs to come off the bench and impress in order to get a place in the 23 but he's blown his hopes of that now.

Just before that melee, Mason Grady and Christ Tshiunza both came on.

    Gareth Griffiths
BBC Sport Wales at Stade de la Beaujoire, Nantes

That was a real dust-up! Lasted for about a minute and involved the replacements from both sides.

The noise has gone through the roof here! You don't often see that these days. Taine Basham and Davit Niniashvili are shown yellow cards. We continue.

  6. Sin-bins: Taine Basham & Davit Niniashvilipublished at 71 mins

    Wales 31-19 Georgia

Well he was on the pitch for just a few seconds but Basham won't finish the game now.

Wing Davit Niniashvili is also off for his part.

But that was a little bit tasty. Should make for a lively final ten minutes here in Nantes.

    Wales 31-19 Georgia

Taine Basham has only just come on and his first tackle looked a little high.

But the Georgian replacement keeps it going and then everyone is in... even Gareth Thomas off the bench.

We haven't seen anything like this during this World Cup

Mathieu Raynal has a job on his hands to sort this out.

Taine Basham gets involved in a tussle and suddenly it's all kicking off. Everyone is in.

    Gareth Griffiths
BBC Sport Wales at Stade de la Beaujoire, Nantes

This is turning into a bit of a injury nightmare in Nantes for Wales.

Number eight Taulupe Faletau has gone off clutching his arm. He is vital for Wales for the rest of this tournament.

They can't afford to lose him. This comes on top of losing Gareth Anscombe in the warm-up as well.

I thought George North's pass was forward...maybe it was but the referee is happy.

But after that the kick from Liam Williams is lovely and you couldn't ask for a more perfect bounce into the hands of Louis Rees-Zammit and that was crucial as the game was in the balance.

    yes they REALLY did.

That's the bonus point to ensure they top the pool... and perhaps tie-up the win.

What a try from Wales, a lovely little kick from Liam Williams in to the space, Zammit put the afterburners on, the ball bounced really kindly and great finish.

    Wales desperately needed that.

Converted try: Wales 29-19 Georgiapublished at 67 mins

    Louis Rees-Zammit, con Sam Costelow

Just when you needed someone to step up... it's the flying winger to the rescue.

Liam Williams started the move with a delightful chip ahead but it was the early pass from George North that gave Rees-Zammit the time and space to stretch his legs.

Then he just pressed the after-burners.

I can't believe what I've seen in the last half an hour, Wales have been awful! Truly awful.

How good Wales were against Australia, what's happened to this team, what have they been doing? We've been saying there's a chance to get to the semi-final, we shouldn't be out of the group if we can't beat Georgia a team that couldn't beat Portugal.

  15. Missed penalty: Walespublished at 66 mins

Well Hooky... he's just missed a penalty that would have opened a crucial eight-point lead.

It's his first miss to be fair.

This will be a big test for Sam Costelow, how can he control the game with 15 minutes to go, just five points in front.

Can he control this game and see it out?

Georgia do brilliantly from the lineout. They hit straight down the middle of the field and then they go back to the blindside.

Gareth Davies gets thrown out of the way by Davit Niniashvili and he flies down the touchline to score. Weak defence from Wales, Georgia have shown they're back in the game.

Oh hang on... we really do have a game now!

The winger just fended off Gareth Davies with embarrassing ease and swallow dives over the line... Chris Ashton-style.

The conversion is wide and Wales with be grateful.
