One negative for Argentina is the injury to Pablo Matera. He was not in a good way when he was helped off. Wales have lost Taulupe Faletau as well so does that even up the back row battle?

Michael Cheika said "it does not look good" for the flanker.

Great performance from Argentina, but spare a thought for Japan.

Both teams scored some unbelievable tries, we now look forward to the quarter-final with Wales. Argentina are getting better and better, so it will be hell of a test for Wales.

The Pumas are coming near to their best. They have a kicking and driving game but also know how to control the ball. If Wales take them lightly they are going to be in trouble.

If it wasn't over, it is now.

Nicolas Sanchez nails it from halfway. In his 101st game for Argentina he shows all that experience.

He did the same against Samoa off the bench. You can't buy experience.

    Japan 27-36 Argentina

Japan will not go down without a fight. But Argentina are smashing every carry backwards.

Their defence has been the difference today.

Japan knock on the ball and you feel that might be it. They had to score quickly after that last score.

Mateo Carreras is some player, what a finish. Into a little bit of space with one hand off and he is gone.

You give him half a yard and you will not get anywhere near him. Carreras is fantastic.

    Hat-trick hero.

That is six tries in six tests and his best of the lot today. Mateo Carreras bounces off a couple of defenders before diving over.

So powerful, so quick, so good at rugby.
