It's hooker Bongi Mbonambi who is hurt early on for South Africa. And the officials are going to look at this collision too.

South Africa have a man down hurt early on and that could be an issue with their bench. Eben Etzebeth then clobbers someone with a massive hit. High octane start!

Two huge clearing kicks away already by South Africa. The wet weather will make handling very difficult.

Haka MVP for me was New Zealand number eight Ardie Savea who really ripped in with tongue poking and head shaking.

Tremendous atmosphere in the Stade. We are ready.

Who needs Mika when you've got the haka? One of sport's great theatrical moments. It has been said that games have been won and lost before kick-off because of it.

I've found a very old BBC Sport page here that details and explains what the lyrics are all about...

The pre-match show is by Mika. Who I haven't thought about in about 15 years.

Anyway, he has still got it.

He does a bit of Big Girl (You Are Beautiful). No news yet on whether he is as big a fan of a jumbo-sized bench.

South Africa have taken the most risks at this tournament. They are used to it. They don't see it as risk but a calculation for what is needed.

They have been supreme in their selection. Because of the ups and downs they have had, Rassie Erasmus and Jacques Nienaber have absolutely nailed it.

Here come the sides, the noise is immense! A lot of fence sitting from the tv pundits with a lot of 'two or three points in it' sort of chat.

Given South Africa's last two games it's a very fair prediction...

    One last push...

There must be some tired legs out there. It's 49 days since the opening match of this World Cup, it's a test of endurance for us all.

That's about half as long as Sputnik spent in space, or enough time to watch 1,000 NFL games, should you wish to.

Some quite extraordinary levels of jeering for the Springbok team as their names are read out over the tannoy.

Villains-in-chief are Eben Etzebeth, he of the deliberate knock-back in the last-eight win over France, and Cheslin Kolbe, who charged down the Thomas Ramos conversion that could have made all the difference.

The locals haven't forgotten or forgiven yet.
