It's so disrespectful for Aussie fans and people who've spent thousands of dollars coming over here saying, "Well, we're building for the next World Cup".

You look at the two coaches, Warren Gatland has backed players and Eddie Jones hasn't.

You look at Bernard Foley's tweet saying, "Things could have been so different", and they could have.

Don't worry Sean, we're quite used to it.

However saying that... Wales have now reached the quarter-finals in seven of the last eight World Cups.

It's the first time ever that Australia haven't got out of the pools.

I took great delight in watching England getting bounced in 2015 and now I know what it feels like, it's not great.

When Gareth Davies kicked a few of those kicks and kept them infield I was questioning it because Australia looked threatening but Wales backed their defence and shut Australia down.

Warren Gatland keeps saying Wales are the fittest team in the world and they are proving it.

So far Jac Morgan's had a cross-field kick for a try and a 50:22, we need a left footed kick and then he's in Antoine Dupont category.

Or a drop goal Zinzan Brooke style!

We have to talk about the front five. I thought Gareth Thomas was under pressure early on and Robin McBryde on S4C said it was actually illegal scrummaging by James Slipper the Wallabies tighthead.

If you don't get the front five right, you're not winning games by 40 points.

We had momentum from the pack and when you're winning penalties it's a knock on effect and its hard for teams to come back from that.

I always say turn a negative in to a positive but Australia couldn't do that yesterday.

Tate McDermott and Ben Donaldson have never played with each other in the half backs before and there they are in a knockout game of a World Cup.

Jordan Petaia is not a 13, the best 13 is back in Australia and that's Len Ikitau.

The cohesion of the team was so off.

I thought it was Josh Adams that was through! The pace of Jac Morgan to go through.

Ben Donaldson shot out of defence and Samu Kerevi shot out even harder and hit Nick Tompkins, but we've seen that so many times with Tompkins now, being tackled but getting the ball away.

No other player in the Wales squad has scored more World Cup tries than Gareth Davies who grabbed his eighth tournament touchdown. the same as Josh Adams and more than George North. What a poacher!

That first try with the set up was beautiful to watch. They tried it once and it didn't quite work but the second time was beautiful.

It was one of the most dominant Wales forward displays in recent times.

Wales forwards coach Jonathan Humphreys said this morning: "The feeling in the week was good. We’d spent four-and-a-half months just trying to improve and set standards.

"We came up against probably one of the best line-out defences out there. They’re very good and put a lot of pressure on you.

"I thought Adam Beard Beardy called the line-out really well and our execution was where it needed to be. We were delighted. We talked afterwards about that’s the standard we need to be at and the standard we have to set.

"We felt at scrum-time that their tighthead was angling across, which meant Gareth Thomas was outside of him, so we had to wait until was our scrum, our ball, to exert that dominance.

"Things changed after we started getting put-ins on our ball. The boys problem solved well out there."

Wales only missed one from 17 Wales lineouts so you have to give credit to the coaches, Mike Forshaw with the defence, Jonathan Humphreys with the lineouts and forwards.

Not conceding a try against Australia is a huge thing.

I remember two years ago when it felt like no one knew their role exactly.

But now Gatland makes sure everyone knows their role and there is an onus on the players that everyone knows their job.

We let Australia make mistakes, there were battles won in key moments early, it felt the momentum was with us.

Clarity and simplicity knowing what they want to do. Under Wayne Pivac we saw players stood in the wrong place, you never saw that yesterday and there was never a question with decisions.

So Wales are guaranteed a place in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals, but do you think they get further?

Thumbs up if you think Warren Gatland's side get the semi-finals, thumbs down if you think the journey ends at the quarter-final stage in Marseille.
