  1. Disallowed try - Rodrigo Bruni (Bayonne)published at 13 mins

    Bayonne 0-0 Glasgow Warriors

It's a move off the top, with the ball fired straight back to Bosch. Kyle Rowe reads it well and stops him.

Rodrigo Bruni then burrows for the line. He's held short before somehow contorting himself over the line. It looks like double movement to me - and the referee agrees.

    Massively missed opportunity.

  2. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Bayonne 0-0 Glasgow Warriors

The ball goes wide, but the passing is inaccurate and it goes out. Never mind, another Bayonne penalty forthcoming. Camille Lopez kicks to touch again.

Facundo Bosch's dart is good. He collects at the back but falls over his own man as he goes for the line. English referee Adam Leal says Gregor Brown has pulled it down and Sione Tuipulotu receives a warning from the ref.

    To the corner again...

  3. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Bayonne 0-0 Glasgow Warriors

Another botched try. Gela Aprasidze springs free at the back of the maul, but he's caught by Kyle Rowe. He throws a wild offload that George Horne gathers and touches down over his own line.

    Bayonne scrum on Glasgow's 5m.

  4. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Bayonne 0-0 Glasgow Warriors

George Horne saves a certain try!

Bayonne break forward when Camille Lopez chips and Tom Sping gathers. He pops off to Nadir Megdoud, but Horne drags the winger down as he races towards the line.

George Turner then concedes a penalty as he doesn't roll away at the back of a ruck. Bayonne go for the corner.

  5. 'Horne crucial'published at 6 mins

    Bayonne 0-0 Glasgow Warriors

George Horne is crucial for Glasgow, especially with Ali Price away to Edinburgh, and he will be crucial to any success Glasgow will have.

The team is a real mix.

The back row look young and a bit inexperienced, but it gives these guys a great opportunity.

Ross Thompson, I think, is in a stage of his career that is make or break. He has got a lot to do to prove he is good enough at this level.

  6. Postpublished at 5 min

    Bayonne 0-0 Glasgow Warriors

Glasgow go to the touchline again. The maul goes the right way this time... but George Turner comes out too early, passes to George Horne, and he is dragged back towards the sideline.

Bayonne clear, but the Warriors come back before passing straight into touch. Another successful defensive set from the hosts.

  7. Disallowed try - Ollie Smith (Glasgow Warriors)published at 3 mins

    Bayonne 0-0 Glasgow Warriors

An early mistake from Bayonne allows Glasgow down to the 5m line. They throw and rumble towards the line, but it's rolling sideways instead of forward.

The ball is out the back and Ross Thompson chips to the touchline. Ollie Smith gathers and scores after two minutes... but his foot is a millimetre in touch!

We come back for a Glasgow advantage.

  8. Kick-offpublished at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2023

    Bayonne 0-0 Glasgow Warriors

And we are under way! I said this would be Glasgow's potentially easiest game in the group... maybe not.

Bayonne may have only won four Top 14 games this season, but they have all come at home. Hmmm.

  9. Almost time...published at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2023

    Bayonne v Glasgow Warriors (20:00)

Here come the teams, into the cinematic Stade Jean Dauger. The stadium lights are off, with the place illuminated from the torches of camera phones around the ground.

It's like being at a Take That gig... I imagine?

  10. 'With injuries comes opportunity' - Smithpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2023

    Bayonne v Glasgow Warriors (20:00)

Franco Smith says he is "looking forward to the young guys stepping up" for Glasgow after a raft of injuries.

Back-rower Jack Dempsey is out for two months after his facial injury, while Sebastian Cancelliere is being assessed by the club’s medical team after a neck injury. Matt Fagerson, Sintu Manjezi and Lucio Sordoni are also being assessed - but the Glasgow head coach believes other players will step up.

"We are fully convinced that these guys will produce tomorrow night because they have a lot of motivation," Smith said. "With injury also comes opportunity and I think the club and our squad are ready to grab that opportunity."

Ross Thompson also makes his first competitive start in almost a season after being plagued by injury. "He has worked really hard and I must say to put all the building blocks in place is important, especially because he was out for more than a season basically and now to give him the confidence going into this was important because I didn’t want to put him in when he was half ready," Smith adds.

  11. Bayonne change 10 but include Argentine starspublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2023

    Bayonne v Glasgow Warriors (20:00)

Bayonne have made 10 changes to the side that snatched a draw with Munster in the previous round of the Champions Cup.

Tom Spring, Aurellien Callandret and Nadir Megdoud come into an inexperienced back-three, with former Carcassone centre Guillaume Martocq also in from the start.

Experienced French international Camille Lopez starts at 10, with Georgian number nine Gela Aprasidze replacing Maxime Machenaud at scrum-half.

Props Swan Cormenier and Luke Tagi pack down - the latter started all of Fiji's games at the World Cup. Uruguayan Manuel Leindekar is into the second row, with veteran blindside Remi Bourdea starting.

Argentine internationals Facundo Bosch and Rodrigo Bruni start in the forwards, with Australian star Reece Hodge named on the bench.

  12. Horne returns as Samuel makes Champions Cup debutpublished at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2023

    Bayonne v Glasgow Warriors (20:00)

Franco Smith makes 10 changes to the starting XV that faced Northampton Saints. George Turner is the only change to the front row as he comes in to join Zander Fagerson and Jamie Bhatti.

It's a new look second row with Greg Peterson and 20-year-old Alex Samuel packing down in the engine room, with the latter making his Champions Cup debut. Gregor Brown and Thomas Gordon man the flanks, with Ally Miller making his first start of the season.

George Horne returns to scrum-half after injury, and is joined by Ross Thompson who also makes his first start of the 2023/24 campaign.

‘Huwipulotu’ are reunited as Huw Jones and this week’s skipper Sione Tuipulotu rekindle their partnership in the midfield. The first time the pair played alongside each other was a year ago in the victory against Perpignan.

Kyle Rowe returns to the back three in place of injured Sebastian Cancelliere to join Ollie Smith on the wing and Josh McKay retains his spot at fullback.

  14. Good evening!published at 19:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2023

    Bayonne v Glasgow Warriors (20:00)

Hello! Welcome to the second round of Champions Cup group stage matches as Glasgow Warriors take on French side Aviron Bayonnais - or Bayonne to you and me.

This is probably the most winnable of Glasgow's fixtures, so realistically they probably need to come out victorious - and with a bonus point - if they're to give themselves a good chance of progression.

Remember, we have live audio coverage of tonight's match, but it's ONLINE ONLY. Don't go anywhere.

Okay, let's take a look at the teams...
