    Dan Sheehan again bustles his way close to the try line before the ball is worked back to Henshaw, who manages to sneak over the line.

    Great scramble defence from Sale but it remains to be seen how long they can keep this up for as Leinster continue to pile on the pressure.

    Elsewhere today in Pool Four, defending champions La Rochelle suffered a second successive European Champions Cup defeat at the hands of the Stormers.

    A late conversion from fly-half Manie Libbok helped the South African side to clinch a 21-20 victory over La Rochelle in Cape Town.

    That makes a Leinster victory this evening even more important given the pool has been blown wide open with that result.

    Sale have a deserved but narrow lead at the break after taking the game to Leinster at the RDS as well as remaining resolute defensively.

    Connor Doherty recorded a superb opening try for the away side, but Leinster grew into the game and Josh van der Flier's try just before the break gives them something to build on in the second period.

    They do well at the maul from the line out and Josh van der Flier powers his way through to touch the ball down.

    Leinster have a penalty after a high tackle from Raffi Quirke.

    It came after Leinster had gone close to a try, but they were again held up by the Sale defence, who have consistently been quick off their line.
