We don't have photos of this game, but Scotland's try looked a little something like this.

A sixteenth try for her country - Lana Skeldon is so important to this side.

We've had some really good carries - Lisa Thomson and Lana Skeldon have done well. Alex Stewart has been really busy around the park in attack and defence.

Scotland have had opportunities to take points, they backed their line-out which was functioning well early on in the half.

Scotland will be feeling slightly frustrated. They know they've not capitalised on territory or possession. You can see what they're trying to do in attack, they're moving the ball into wide channels.

That score before half-time is super important because going in equal is much better than going in behind.

  3. 'A little frustrating to watch'published at 17:39 British Summer Time 20 April

A little cagey on both parts. The scoreline reflects the game. Scotland have had the lion's share of territory and possession but Italy have been able to capitalise on their ball better.

It's a little frustrating to watch, but we haven't seen them attack much lately. To see them keeping the ball through phases is encouraging and it'll be stressing Italy out.

However, it's a lot of energy, territory and possession that isn't amounting to points.

  4. Half-time Italy 7-7 Scotlandpublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 20 April

The sun starts to set in Parma, and this game remains on a knife edge.

Scotland have dominated large chunks of territory and possession, but they've been sloppy in the red zone and could not take their changes.

Italy looked dangerous on the counter and it was through the electric Alyssa D'Inca that they took the lead against the run of play.

Scotland hit straight back through Lana Skeldon, finally getting some just rewards for their efforts.

    A tense first-half. Typical Scotland!

Lisa Thomson's clearing kick is closed down and Sara Tounesi charges into Scotland's 22m.

Evie Gallagher somehow wrestles her to the floor, but injures herself in doing so. Sofia Stefan spills the ball, and it's another let off for Scotland.

    Lana Skeldon

    Scotland hit straight back!

It's another kick to the corner from a penalty. This time, Skeldon's arrow is good and the drive rumbles towards the Italy line, allowing Skeldon to flop over the line.

Seven tries in her last nine tests. Prolific.

It's a brilliant kick from Helen Nelson to split the posts and we're all even again.

  7. converted try

Converted try - ITALY 7-0 Scotlandpublished at 31 mins

    Alyssa D'Inca

    Italy make the breakthough!

It's a simple move out the playbook from a line-out, Ilaria Arrighetti hits a soft shoulder and pops to D'Inca who is absolutely flying.

She's through the line, steps inside Rhona Lloyd, and dives over the line.

    Beatrice Rigoni adds the extras.

    Italy 0-0 Scotland

Italy break up the pitch and they rumble through the phases. Scotland are massively on the back-foot here.

They get into the 22m, and the advantage is coming. They get the penalty, and go for the corner. The throw is squint though, and Scotland are let off this time.

Both sides are capable of far better.

  9. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Italy 0-0 Scotland

Italy managed to get themselves up to the half way line but once again, the Scots turned over.

They get down into Italy's 22m, but Sara Seye is brilliant at the breakdown and wins Italy a penalty to get them out of danger.

Just too many errors from both sides so far.

Italy are soaking up so much pressure and when they do get it, they're forcing the pass or forcing the kick.

They're putting themselves back under so much pressure.

    Italy 0-0 Scotland

Another penalty, another kick to the corner, another throw-in goes awry for Scotland. This is really hampering the visitors.

Lana Skeldon makes amends by turning the ball over, but Emma Orr almost throws an intercept!

  12. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Italy 0-0 Scotland

Another penalty goes to Scotland. They're starting to tot up against the hosts now.

Lisa Thomson points to the corner. That was a kickable position for three points. Instead they're going for at least five.

But it's overcooked and Scotland loose possession. Nothing comes from all that territory.

  13. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Italy 0-0 Scotland

Scotland get the ball back on the 22m and they're immediately keen to get the ball wide. They want it in the hands of their danger players.

They try and fling it wide again but Lisa Thomson can't cling on and it's spilled.

  14. Missed opportunity!published at 10 mins

    Italy 0-0 Scotland

Maggie Cogger-Orr is the referee, and she's not happy with the Italian pack at that line-out. Another penalty for the Scots, and another line-out...

The Scots rumble forward, it's with Rachel Malcolm at the back, but she spills the ball over her back and the chance goes.

Scotland need to take these chances in the red zone.

  15. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Italy 0-0 Scotland

Scotland have a penalty after a high tackle from Sara Seye on Caity Mattinson, who tried a little snipe.

It's kicked to the corner, and Scotland have a line-out opportunity. That set piece didn't function last week, but it's better this time...

  16. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Italy 0-0 Scotland

The handling has been slack from both sides early on, with possession changing during almost every phase.

Scotland still unable to get out of their own half, however.

Neither side have had huge territory in their games so far, and they'll both be eager to put their opposition under pressure right away.

    Italy 0-0 Scotland

Lisa Thomson gets us under way in Parma, with Scotland playing in their dazzling white kit.

It's not quite as sunny as you'd expect in Italy this time of year. Maybe that will suit Scotland.

  19. Scotland want to 'put things right'published at 16:44 British Summer Time 20 April

    Italy v Scotland (16:45)

    Jenny Maxwell
    Scotland scrum-half on BBC Scotland

It's a bit stop-start. They had a brilliant start againt Wales, and then had two huge games, but not a huge amount they can take from the England game. We've heard the coach and players say that through the week.

They need to bounce back. It's all to play for. Scotland, Ireland and Italy all have one win. All of those teams want that third place finish.

Speaking with the girls in camp, they're looking to do what they now best - perform individually and as a colelctive. They weren't happy with how they performed last weekend and they're looking to put that right today.

  20. Postpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 20 April

    Italy v Scotland (16:45)

Scotland head coach Bryan Easson tells BBC Scotland: "It's been really important to draw a line under last week and move forward. Wednesday was one of our better sessions of the whole campaign, so we're happy with how we come into this game.

"We need to forget the England game happened, but we can't shy away from that performance. We have to dig into our good performances recently."
