Ospreys captain Justin Tipuric told S4C: "We let Sale back in it towards the end after being quite comfortable but the boys were awesome - as were the crowd.

"It's nice to get to the next round and have something to play for.

"It's going to be tough up there but we're looking forward to it and there will be a lot of excitement in the camp.

"Things are going well and we're pushing for better. That's why we play rugby."

That was a well-earned victory for the Ospreys, they were so precise and clinical tonight.

That interception and third try was crucial. It's a quick turnaround to the next round, but the Ospreys will want to take this feeling into that game against Gloucester.

The Ospreys have been up against good opposition today and they've been really clinical, they've had to be.

Loose kick by Luke Davies and Sale will get another chance.

But surely it's too late. They can't score eight points in a minute.

    Owen Williams

Well he's missed ten points with the boot - but those three should see Ospreys into the quarter-finals.

Well, when Ospreys needed to see-out the game they reverted to their set-piece.

It's ball up the jumper time and the maul earns another pennalty.

Pats on the backs for the forwards, that ball was never going anywhere else.

    Ospreys 20-15 Sale Sharks

The ball bounces around and Du Preez is ruled offside to hand opposite number Williams the chance to put Ospreys eight points clear.

But the Ospreys fly-half's kick falls well short.

That was a big missed chance to open some daylight again.

The momentum has shifted, all of a sudden Sale are right back in this.

It could be a nervy last 10 minutes for the Ospreys.

Sale's forwards drive over from the lineout but did they keep control of the ball?

Ben Curry is celebrating... but Matthieu Raynal is having a very long look at this.

Perhaps it's no surprise Tom Flaherty scored here at the Brewery Field.

He used to call it home when he played for Bridgend a few years ago.

    Welcome back Tom!

    Tom O'Flaherty

    Sale hit back... finally.

Sam James scoops up a loose ball in midfield, releases the winger who produces a fantastic finish... sprinting around Jack Walsh to score in the right corner.

Du Preez kick is a horrible connection and nowhere near the extra points.

    Another scrum penalty to Ospreys.
