Great try from Morgan Morris, I don't know how he hasn't had more recognition at international level.

He's been Mr. Consistent these past few years.

    Morgan Morris

And there's the game's first try.

Justin Tipuric and Owen Williams did so well to keep that ball alive.

Owen Watkin ships it out the number eight who steps off his right foot on the wing and dives over the last challenge.

    Ospreys 3-3 Sale Sharks

Owen Williams pings a cross-field kick that is weighted perfectly and pins back Sale inside their own 22.

    Perfect play in this weather.

    Ospreys 3-3 Sale

Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

Ospreys are growing into this game, I feel they're getting into their systems a lot better than they were in the first quarter.

Hymns are Arias ringing out here at the Brewery Field... this is becoming a good old Anglo-Welsh derby.

That was a nice strike, well taken from Owen Williams.

Let's see if the Ospreys can build on this now.

    Owen Williams

Another scrum penalty... this time against Asher Opoku-Fordjour and Williams boots Ospreys level.

    Ospreys 0-3 Sale Sharks

Oh that's just where you don't want to be as a full-back in this weather.

Ospreys hoisted the high ball and Sharks' Telusa Veainu didn't know which way the wind was going to take it.

The full-back drops it and cheers from the home crowd.

    Tough one.

    Ospreys 0-3 Sale

So that's the first quarter over and we've seen just three points.

Well to be fair... did we really think it was going to be high scoring in these conditions?

It's old-school rugby at the moment at an old-school rugby venue.

    Gareth Griffiths

I am not sure what it is about Ospreys games in Bridgend but it seems to attract the most extreme weather.

There was the monsoon mud-fest of the victory against Cardiff on New Year's Day.

It is not quite as bad here today more than three months on, but it is still very wet and windy.

    Ospreys 0-3 Sale

It's an old-fashioned tap and go. First Creevy and then Bamber.

I thought he was over the line but referee Mathieu Raynal says the Sharks lock was held up.

    Ospreys clear the danger.

    Ospreys 0-3 Sale

Sale wing O'Flaherty makes a strong carry down the left.

Ospreys number eight Morris looked to have covered but the sheer power of the Sharks forwards literally drove the Osprey off the ball and Sale have a penalty five metres out.

    Plenty of options here.

Very good play from the Ospreys to get that penalty. Tipuric sniffed that gap and in he went.

He gave the referee no option, great play.

Ospreys have also stolen a lineout... the hosts are edging the set-pieces so far.

    Ospreys 0-3 Sale

Owen Williams is short with a long kick at goal. He fancied his chances with the breeze but not quite.

But Ospreys will be encouraged at winning a penalty from the scrum.

Something to build upon on wet heavy conditions.

It's cup rugby, Ospreys really need to keep their noses clean.

They can't afford to be giving away poor penalties and dropping silly points.

  17. Penalty: Ospreys 0-3 Salepublished at 4 mins

    Du Preez

Ospreys prop Gareth Thomas was judged to have obstructed du Preez as he ran onto that kick and is handed an easy three points in front of the posts.

    First blood to Sale.

Great defensive set from Ospreys. They halted the initial drive and forced Sale out wide.

Scrum-half Raffi Quirke tries a sneaky kick through but Owen Watkin back to snuff out the danger.
