6. Ospreys failed to score a point in the second-half, as Gloucester booked their place in the semi-finals

It may be more than six years since these teams faced each other on the pitch, but the clubs have plenty of common ground.

Ospreys skills coach James Hook played for Gloucester as well as former hooker Richard Hibbard.

The team includes ex-Gloucester fly-half Owen Williams while former Gloucester chief executive Lance Bradley is now running things at the Welsh region.

And the two head coaches know each other inside out following their time together at London Irish.

Skivington said: "Their 10 [Williams] has been here before and he's a very good player so he can orchestrate the team well.

"They've got a good set-piece and they fight hard and you could see that within their group.

"It's going to be a really tough game and we're going to have to be seriously focused and ready.

"I know Toby Booth very well and he's got experience of here as well. I'm sure they'll be well versed by the time they come to Kingsholm on what that experience will be like."

Ospreys head coach Booth said: "I have some good memories there (at Kingsholm).

"I know George well and they are a good team. They have high-profile players like Zach Mercer and we need to be better than we were against Sale."

Ospreys may not have some of the big names of the past but their current crop of locally-born youngsters have managed something their previous Gallacticos never did - win a European knock-out match!

Even when they had a team full of British Lions such as Shane Williams, Ryan Jones and Adam Jones as well as ex-All Blacks in Justin Marshall, Marty Holah and Jerry Collins, they never made it past the quarter-finals of Europe.

Now after breaking that knock-out duck against Sale Sharks, lock Adam Beard is hoping to create history by being part of the first Ospreys side to reach a European semi-final.

"Its huge for Ospreys and we are targeting that semi-final," said Beard.

"We know we don't get any second chances, it is knockout rugby and the boys are bouncing for it.

"It's another huge Anglo-Welsh derby and I know they get some good support and I have heard it can be a hostile crowd. Hopefully it will be a packed stadium."
