Jason Holt appeared to take an arm to the face in an off-the-ball clash with Scott Brown in the first half. Much later in the game he incensed Celtic players and fans with this challenge on Patrick Roberts, where he won the ball with his left leg but caught him in a scissor motion with his right.

Graeme Murty tells Sky Sports : "I am so proud of the players and I want to pay a load of compliments to them. Craig Gordon made two magnificent saves, I thought we deserved that goal.

"I said to the players that it will need a lot of belief to come here. We had to continue to believe and stay together and I thought the goal encapsulated that and I couldn't be prouder of them. 

"The lads know what people have been saying about them so I said that they needed to take a full part in this game and that they can make a real good statement about where they can go from here and they did that today.

"It shows what they can achieve if they stay together and execute things. It was about time they got their rewards because they haven't had many of late and it's a nice way to finish off. 

"It was great for me and I really enjoyed the experience. I want to thank the fans and players again because they have been fantastic for me."

John Harris : Shows you the difference. Celtic were hopeless today and still get a point against a team who probably had their best performance of the season.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers: "It felt like a defeat a little bit, especially conceding in the 87th minute, but I'm proud of the team, they battled really hard. On a difficult pitch I felt we weren't as fluent as usual in the first half. We were passing backwards and sideways instead of forwards. We made a change at half time and I thought we had much better control in the second half and we looked like we were going to go on and score more goals. It was disappointing we conceded a goal. We left a gap and the boy got a shot away but we don't get a clear penalty at the other end. Clint Hill said on the pitch to me that he got away with that. It's very disappointing that with four officials they don't see that because it looked a clear penalty. When you concede late on it feels like a loss but in the next couple of days we will realise we have kept our run going and we are still unbeaten."

Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong tells BBC Radio Scotland:  "It says a lot about our season so far and how well we have been doing that coming away with a draw feels like a loss.  But we need to keep our perspective and remember where we are and how well we are doing. We are still on a good run of form and we need to keep that going. It is very disappointing to lose a goal so late on but we will stay very confident for the rest of the campaign."

Much is made of Clint Hill and his advancing years (he's 38) but he played an important part in keeping Moussa Dembele quiet, made lots of aggressive tackles, scored the equaliser for the Light Blues and denied Leigh Griffiths, controversially, in the dying minutes with a saving challenge.

Rangers look to have got off the hook as the match entered injury time when Clint Hill brought down Leigh Griffiths in the penalty box. The referee Bobby Madden wasn't well placed to make the call but it looked like Hill had fouled Griffiths before the Gers scorer made contact with the ball.

Rangers deserved their point for fight and passion alone. Their pressing spooked Celtic and Brendan Rodgers' side looked off their game at times. Too many big players had poor performances. It's a point for both but it feels very much like a victory for Rangers.

Mark Warburton had a philosophy that he wanted to build from the back but I don't think he had the players to do that.

Clint Hill tells Sky Sports: "We've been questioned by pundits all week - 'we're going to be weak' and all this garbage."

Martyn Waghorn : "It's disappointing we conceded the goal but great character from the boys. It's all about building on what we achieved today. It's disappointing for myself that I had two one-on-ones. But there was work rate, determination and we showed what a great set of lads we've got."

Celtic's passing was poor in the final third after good build-up play. Dembele and Sinclair weren't really at it today. I worried for Rangers a little bit in the second half, but they put in a very good performance in the last 10 minutes to give them heart for the Scottish Cup semi-final.
