    Mark Selby 4-0 Ding Junhui

You're lucky we have got our graphic curse today otherwise this match would be even more one-sided.

Earlier on we talked about how we flashed up a graphic saying Selby's pot success was 98% and he then missed. But we've only gone and done it again.

Selby had gained 255 points without reply, so we put up this graphic, meaning he would then miss again, which he did.

The mid-session, for those of you watching BBC Two coverage, is always entertaining with Stephen Fry presenting CueI. This time Fry asked "who has won the most world titles?" - the answer is Joe Davis with 15, but Stephen Hendry, with his seven titles, didn't seem happy at only being fourth on the all-time list.

  3. Monday: A great day for Leicester?published at 16:20 British Summer Time 1 May 2016

    Mark Selby 4-0 Ding Junhui

So what a day tomorrow could be for the city of Leicester. They could have a world champion in snooker and a Premier League title to celebrate.

Maybe Selby can get himself on the open-top bus?

Leicester drew 1-1 at Manchester United to miss the chance of winning the title today. However, they will become English football champions for the first time tomorrow night if Tottenham fail to beat Chelsea.

Alix Harrison-Rowe: If Mark Selby continues playing the way he has been he's got this in the bag.

Sean Alldritt: I like Mark Selby but hoping Ding Junhui can do it as he's been the best over the two weeks.

Barry: Great start from Mark Selby. Grinding Ding Junhui down already.

"Mark Selby is a wonderful match player, he's seized his opportunity, and he's given Ding Junhui absolutely nothing to look at. He's just exceptional, and now we know why he's world number one."

"Selby is the Floyd Mayweather of snooker. People come up to him, try to be different to beat him, but he's having none of it."

  7. 'It's desperate for Ding'published at 16:08 British Summer Time 1 May 2016

    Mark Selby 4-0 Ding Junhui

    Stephen Hendry
    Seven time world champion

"Ding Junhui will go straight to the practice table. Terry Griffiths, his coach, won't say much to him - he'll even be saying things that aren't about snooker, but it's desperate for Ding.

"Ding's been punished, but you can see he doesn't want to get involved in Mark's tactical game. Selby will relaxed and play his own game."

And, as expected, here is Ding in the practice room with 1979 world champion, Terry Griffiths.

  9. Highest breakpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 1 May 2016

    143 - Kyren Wilson

So Mark Selby just hit a break of 120, but it's not the highest of the tournament. Kyren Wilson's 143 against Mark Selby in the quarter-finals takes that accolade so far.

Wilson is on course for the £10,000 highest break prize, which will help fund his wedding as he gets married in six weeks.

Mark Selby 4-0 Ding Junhui (124-0, Selby 120)

And it is 4-0 now. Selby makes the biggest break of the match so far and his first century of the final - the 417th of his career.

He looks completely in control and a man thoroughly enjoying being at the peak of his game.

For those counting, this is the 82nd century break of the tournament. The record in one event is the 86 from the 2015 event. You would be a brave man or woman to bet against that figure not being beaten.

    Mark Selby 3-0 Ding Junhui

After two weeks of action, for one brief moment both players had potted the same amount of balls. But it was not long before Selby stormed ahead. This looks like being 4-0 very soon.

Leicester will win the Premier League title if they beat Manchester United at Old Trafford.

It is currently 1-1 after 87 minutes, but Leicester are down to 10 men with England international Danny Drinkwater sent off for two bookable offences.

  15. 'It could be an important red for Ding'published at 15:45 British Summer Time 1 May 2016

    Mark Selby 3-0 Ding Junhui

    Ken Doherty
    1997 world champion

"Ding Junhui is trying to play the red off two cushions, but if Ding is just a little higher with the cue ball he can get more angle and then drop it in. He'd then be on the black, and would have gone on to win the frame. It could be an important red for Ding.

"It shows you how a little fraction on the cue ball, and how much easier that red would have been - he missed it and Mark Selby steals the frame."

    Mark Selby 3-0 Ding Junhui

The crucial shot for Ding in the third frame saw him miss what looked to be a simple red in. Let's analyse it further, with the help of a former world champion.

  18. Three in a rowpublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 1 May 2016

Mark Selby 3-0 Ding Junhui (101-43, Selby 76)

There wasn't really much point in Ding carrying on with this frame - the damage had already been done. Selby finishes off the frame, is 3-0 up and in control.

This could soon be running away from Ding if he is not too careful.

    Mark Selby 2-0 Ding Junhui

Look's like you're all willing Ding Junhui to get that first frame on the board...

Craig: It's a long match but Ding needs to sort his head out as soon as possible otherwise Mark Selby will run away with this.

Jeff Hitchings: I think Ding needs a frame winning contribution here or it could get to him mentally.

Simon White: Ding at risk of trying too hard here. So much pressure on him with 100s of millions of Chinese expecting so much.

    Mark Selby 2-0 Ding Junhui

Well, this is not how Ding Junhui would have dreamed this last night.

Would Mark Selby be tired and jaded after his epic 17-15 semi-final win over Marco Fu last night, a match that included the longest frame in Crucible history? Er, nope.

That missed red from Ding lets Selby in and it is painful viewing as Selby's break of 76 takes him to the brink of a 3-0 lead.

Ding, needing two snookers to force a respotted black, comes to the table.
